Role Description This position is a key member within the Cloud Platform Engineering Organization. Leads cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize Banner Health’s multi-cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and OCI. The role helps lead the development of Banner’s long-term cloud strategy, ensuring scalability, security, resiliency, and cost-effectiveness across the organization’s cloud systems. Works closely with the Cloud Platform Engineering & Operations and Network Operations departments, Digital Engineering and support stakeholders across departments to lead cloud adoption and migration, enhance cloud maturity, improve performance, implement best practices, and drive cloud-based innovation. Serves as a subject-matter expert and trusted advisor, providing guidance and working closely with IT partners and business units to ensure successful solution delivery on cloud platforms. This position works at the intersection of Digital Transformation and Cloud Modernization to ensure that Banner’s cloud capabilities align with business needs and scale to meet future growth. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent level of education and experience. - At least 15 years of software engineering, digital engineering, and application modernization experience. - A minimum of 5 years of experience designing and developing cloud and microservices at scale. - Demonstrable relevant experience optimizing Kubernetes deployed workloads on cloud platform and experience with AI development tools. - Experience leading peers in the delivery of enterprise solutions. - Proven experience with platform operating models and product-driven digital engineering. - Hands-on experience designing and scaling digital applications on cloud platforms, preferably AWS and Azure. - Experience with large-scale cloud migrations and modernization initiatives.
