Role Description Looking for Philippines-based candidates Job Role: Social Media Manager Compensation range: $1,500 AUD - $2,500 AUD / Monthly Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time. This is a full-time, fully remote role based in the Philippines. You'll work directly with the founder and the team to build, manage, and execute a content strategy across all major social platforms. You'll be taking content and turning it into polished, on-brand social media posts, reels, newsletters, and more. You'll also develop and manage the content calendar, bring proactive ideas, and help the company show up consistently and professionally online. This is a role for someone who owns their output, works autonomously, and genuinely loves the craft of social media and content. Key Responsibilities - Manage and grow the company’s presence across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook - Edit and repurpose video content (long-form and short-form) for each platform - Design on-brand graphics, templates, and visual assets using Canva - Write captions, hooks, and post copy in the company's voice - Build, manage, and send monthly EDMs via Mailchimp, including template design - Develop and maintain a content calendar with proactive scheduling - Cut down long-form podcast/YouTube content into short-form clips for social distribution - Create SOPs for recurring content workflows to build consistency and efficiency - Monitor platform analytics and report on content performance - Stay ahead of social media trends and bring new ideas to the team Qualifications - 3+ years of hands-on social media management experience, ideally in a professional services, finance, or B2C brand context - Solid video editing skills: comfortable with short-form reels and long-form cuts (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or equivalent) - Proficient in Canva with a strong eye for design and brand consistency - Experience with Mailchimp or a comparable EDM platform - Excellent written English: you can write captions that sound natural and engaging - Highly organized and able to manage your own time, deadlines, and content calendar without hand-holding - Proactive mindset: you bring ideas - Podcast or YouTube content experience is a strong plus Platforms & Tools - Social: Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook - Design: Canva (brand kit and templates in place) - Video: CapCut or equivalent - EDM: Mailchimp - Communication: Microsoft Teams - AI tools: Claude or Chat GPT etc. (e.g. transcription, post generation) Work Arrangement & Expectations This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
