About the team The Employee Relations Advisor is responsible for providing expert guidance on employee relations (ER) matters across multiple regions, with a strong emphasis on North America. This role ensures fair and consistent application of company policies and local labour laws. The ER Specialist partners closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPS), Regional HR Partners, legal teams, and business leaders to resolve complex workplace issues, mitigate risk, and foster a positive work environment. This role will contribute to the development and execution of employee relations strategies that align with business objectives and our company values. Vacancy Status This is an existing job vacancy What you will do - Investigate and resolve employee concerns and disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies ad legal requirements - Lead the execution of performance management processes, working directly with business leaders to address underperformance, and navigate formal and informal performance interventions - Manage and resolve misconduct and workplace conflict cases, partnering closely with leaders to ensure issues are handled consistently, timely and in compliance with company policies and employment laws - Serve as a trusted advisor to HRBP’s and regional HR partners by providing expert guidance on complex employee relations issues, including performance, behavioural concerns, and conflict resolution - Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into misconduct, harassment, and other workplace concerns, recommending appropriate resolutions - Guide leaders and employees through the accommodation request process, ensuring equitable treatment and consistent application of policy - Partner with HRBP’s to support organizational changes, including restructures, mergers, acquisitions, and workforce reductions, providing employee relations advice throughout - Maintain detailed and accurate case documentation to ensure compliance with legal and internal standards - Support the development and continuous improvement of the Employee Relations function by leading and contributing to strategic projects, including the creation of policies, procedures, guidance materials, toolkits, templates, and other resources that enhance consistency, compliance, and operational effectiveness. - Ensure compliance with labour laws across North America and other regions, collaborating with legal and regional HR teams to mitigate risk and maintain policy compliance - Deliver training programs to managers on key employee relations topics like performance management, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution - Analyze ER trends, identify risks, and provide recommendations to improve workplace policies and employee experience - Collaborate closely with internal legal teams and HR to ensure global alignment on ER policies and practices What we are looking for - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field - 5+ years experience in employee relations, HR compliance, or labour relations preferably in a global, or multi-regional environment with a strong focus on North America - Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions, particularly in North America - Experience conducting workplace investigations and handling complex employee relations matters - Experience building and enhancing Employee Relations functions, including developing frameworks, processes, guidance materials, toolkits, templates, and other resources to support consistent and effective ER practices. - Ability to analyze data and trends to identify potential employee relations issues and develop proactive solutions. - Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels within the organization. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees, managers, and senior leadership. - Ability to work in a fast-paced organization and manage multiple priorities - High level of discretion, confidentiality, and integrityior #I-KH1 Work With Impact: Our platform directly helps companies power the world’s supply chains.
