Role Description We are looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Accountant to join our growing finance and accounting team reporting to our Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate has experience with ERP systems, procurement, payables systems, the General Ledger (GL), and reconciliations and thrives in a fast-paced, scaling AI software/technology environment. This role will play a critical part in supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including: - Accounts payable - Travel & expense - Cash management - Prepaids - Accruals This is a temporary role with the potential to convert to full-time employment. What You Will Do - Perform general accounting and month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations (i.e. prepaids and accruals). - Prepare supporting schedules and analysis for financial statement disclosures and footnotes, or external audit requests. - Support the accounts payable process end-to-end, including invoice entry, approval workflows, and timely payments using systems, such as Bill.com and SAP S/4 Hana. - Support the travel & expense reimbursement process, helping to enforce our travel and expense policies, and perform the reconciliations for the associated accounts using systems such as Navan, Concur, Bill, Expensify, Ramp, NetSuite, and SAP S/4 Hana. - Support cash activity, including uploading bank statements, cash match and bank reconciliations. - Maintain accurate vendor records and assist with 1099 reporting. - Partner with internal teams (e.g., Engineering, Sales, FP&A, People Ops) to ensure accurate classification of expenses and timely processing of invoices. - Assist with financial audits and compliance initiatives as required. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting - Public accounting background (Big 4 or equivalent) strongly preferred, or demonstrated technical accounting expertise - +4 years of general accounting experience, preferably in the software or technology industry. - Experience in ERP systems, such as SAP S/4 Hana, NetSuite and procure-to-pay systems, such as Bill.com, Ariba, Navan, Concur. - Strong knowledge of US GAAP and a solid understanding of core accounting principles - Intermediate Excel skills (such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.) and comfort with cloud-based financial tools. - Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management. - Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment.
