Pricing Manager

Assurant

• Define, implement, and oversee channel-specific pricing strategies and guardrails • Approve pricing within authority levels, ensuring alignment with margin, recovery, and sell-through targets • Develop and refine auction strategies (item selection, timing, reserve/target pricing) • Analyze performance, identify root causes, and implement continuous improvements • Enhance pricing models, workflows, and tools using advanced analytics and ML/AI where applicable • Own performance measurement, reporting, and actionable insights for leadership • Lead and develop Pricing Analysts, ensuring quality, prioritization, and performance against defined KPIs • Collaborate with Sales, Sales Support, and Operations to meet SLAs and align pricing decisions • Support negotiations and ensure adherence to strategy and governance • Oversee 30-day PO pricing process, ensuring compliance and efficiency • Support pricing for trade-in and upgrade programs with consistent governance • Translate pricing needs into system requirements and partner with development teams • Deliver ad hoc analyses, business cases, and insights to support leadership decision-making

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in pricing, analytics, or finance
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

As a Pricing Coordinator, you will be responsible for working with carriers to negotiate and set new rates, update internal rate tables, collaborate with our outside sales representatives, and maintain and expand client relations. This position will communicate with local, regional, and international partners to complete key responsibilities. Responsibilities: - Maintain daily communication with carriers for discussions on service contract terms, rate negotiations, and space protection. - Coordinate with origin offices internationally to inquire about current market rates and space availability. - Update NSA and VIP account rates to secure new bookings/shipments. - Facilitate the resolution of billing invoice disputes. - Analyze shipment history and data to generate reports and conduct thorough data study prior to negotiating new contracts. - Participate in weekly and biweekly meetings with local, regional, and international partners, occasionally outside of regular business hours. - Assist outside sales representatives with customer pricing and contract drafting, possibly on-site. Salary: - $22-$30/hour dependent on transferable experience and education level.
