We are seeking a Software Developer - Mobile Apps (Flutter) to contribute to the development of our globe-spanning port management information system. This role offers the opportunity to work with a talented team, drive mobile innovation, and make a significant impact in the maritime industry through high-performance, cross-platform mobile solutions. This is a full-time position based in Vancouver, BC, at 570 Granville Sreet. General start time is 8:00 AM-8:30 AM, 8-hour days, Monday to Friday, and Thursday is remote. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain robust cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter. Ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience across Android and iOS platforms. Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate mobile apps with microservices and RESTful APIs. Participate in architectural decisions to ensure scalable, maintainable, and secure mobile solutions. Stay current with mobile development best practices and emerging trends. Contribute to SCRUM processes and collaborate with global cross-functional teams to deliver agile solutions for maritime challenges. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development, with at least 1 year of hands-on experience using Flutter and Dart. Proven experience in developing and publishing mobile apps on both Android and iOS platforms. Familiarity with state management solutions such as Provider, Riverpod, or Bloc. Experience consuming REST APIs and working with backend systems. Proficient with Git for version control. Ability to bring wireframes and designs to life on mobile. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CI/CD for mobile app deployments and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Flutter Driver, integration_test). Understanding of cloud-connected apps and experience with Firebase, Azure, or similar platforms. Exposure to maritime, port operations, or logistics is a plus. Familiarity with containerization and deployment workflows is beneficial. Successful applicants must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship. For applicants that reside in BC, the annual salary wage range is $80,000 CAD - $100,000 CAD.
