Come Join an Inclusive Team The Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) Specialist is responsible for supporting environmental compliance, health, safety, and sustainability initiatives across site operations. This role partners with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership to ensure effective implementation of environmental programs, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement aligned with GoalZERO performance. This position recognizes both formal education and equivalent hands-on industry experience. This role could potential be an Associate Engineer or HSE Specialist depending on level of expertise. A Day in the Life Environmental Compliance & Programs: - Support compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations - Assist in permitting, reporting, and regulatory interpretation - Monitor environmental performance aligned with ISO 14001 and OEMS - Support waste management programs Health, Safety & Risk Integration: - Champion GoalZERO culture - Support safety and industrial hygiene programs - Conducts safety audits - Participate in incident investigations Continuous Improvement: - Track and report KPIs - Support audits and compliance reviews - Conduct internal and external audits - Drive data-based improvements Training & Engagement: - Deliver HSE training - Partner with site personnel - Provide coaching and mentorship You Bring This Value Option 1 – Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in the following fields: chemical engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Fire Safety & Protection or an equivalent degree from an accredited university with an overall GPA of 3.0 or greater. Option 2 – Experience: Minimum 10+ years relevant environmental or industrial experience Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now and in the future.
