About the Job In this role, you will combine deep expertise in data analytics and natural perils risk to generate insights that help our clients make smarter portfolio management and risk transfer decisions. You will work at the intersection of science, data, and client advisory, contributing to both technical excellence and commercial outcomes. As our team works across multiple disciplines the role can be adapted to meet your skill set with training provided to support ongoing career development. Depending on your particular experience, the role will typically include: - Delivering catastrophe analytics to clients and prospects, including loss modelling and broader advisory to help organisations understand and manage risks from natural hazards and climate change. - Working closely with broking teams to translate modelling outputs into clear, actionable insights for reinsurance markets and support the placement of catastrophe reinsurance. - Analysing large and complex datasets using tools such as Python, SQL, and business intelligence platforms (e.g. Power BI) to uncover trends and drive decision-making. - Using catastrophe models and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), both commercial and in-house tools, to assess hazard exposure and accumulation risk. - Contributing to cutting-edge research on natural perils (e.g. flood, earthquake, cyclone, bushfire), either independently or in collaboration with colleagues across the business. - Providing real-time analysis and reporting during natural hazard events, and support post-event client engagement through insights, reporting, and presentations. - Collaborating with regional and global teams to develop and implement new initiatives, with opportunities for international engagement. - Contributing to business growth by supporting proposals, tender responses, and broader sales and marketing activities. - Driving operational efficiency and innovation by identifying opportunities to improve processes and support the team's financial performance. About you We are seeking an individual with: - A degree in a numerate or hazard-related discipline such as mathematics, data or spatial science, climate science, earth science, seismology, atmospheric science, geography, meteorology, or a related engineering or analytical field. - Strong problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently. - Proven ability to manage projects and prioritise effectively. - Ability to quickly interpret, process, and creatively analyse data. - Comfortable engaging directly with clients and keen to build strong working relationships. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong proficiency in SQL along with advanced skills in MS Excel and intermediate proficiency across the MS Office suite. - Experience with Python or similar programming languages. Proven experience in the following areas is beneficial but not essential: - Prior knowledge of reinsurance and catastrophe modelling, including competency in RMS, AIR and other catastrophe risk software packages. - Experience using Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Job Description The Senior Analyst – Pharmacy Pricing supports the development of pharmacy pricing and rebate analyses for Prime’s existing and prospective clients. This role partners with actuaries and senior leaders to deliver accurate, timely analytics, investigate complex pricing questions, and translate data into clear insights. The position works on high‑impact analyses and provides a strong foundation for growth into advanced actuarial or pricing leadership roles. Actuarial credentials are not required; this role is open to both actuarial and non‑actuarial candidates.
