Role Description At the moment, we are in search of a Data Validation Associate to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting our sales operations team within the dynamic cannabis industry. As a member of our outsourcing company, you will assist our cannabis-based clients by handling data entry tasks essential to their sales operations. Your responsibilities will include managing data, ensuring accurate information exchange, and streamlining processes to save time for the sales ops department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in a rapidly evolving field while contributing to the success of our global start-up. This is a full time role (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, weekends are off). It includes 13 days of vacation on a yearly basis (with every year spent with the company, you will receive +1 additional day off) as well as US holidays! Expected work hours are 1:00 AM – 9:00 AM PST (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM Serbia time zone), with the possibility of transitioning to another team in the same role with hours from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST (6:00 PM – 02:00 AM Serbia time zone). Please specify your availability in the application form. You will be hired as an independent contractor (freelance) with a fixed GROSS monthly salary. Responsibilities - Enter and update large volumes of product and vendor data (names, pricing, SKUs, invoices, menus, attributes, etc.) into spreadsheets and systems with high accuracy. - Cross-check and reconcile information between Google Sheets, POS/ERP platforms (e.g., Treez, Dutchie), and other databases. - Maintain accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all records (naming conventions, image links, METRC alignment, etc.). - Support quality assurance (QA) on product menus across multiple retail stores. - Standardize vendor submissions and templates to support onboarding of new products and projects. - Assist with bulk updates, including product descriptions, images, and attribute tagging. - Follow clear SOPs, communicate updates or discrepancies with stakeholders, and provide feedback to improve processes. Qualifications - Professional working proficiency in English. - Strong attention to detail — mistakes in cannabis compliance can be costly. - Previous experience in data entry, admin operations, or related fields would be considered an advantage. - Proficiency with Google Sheets/Excel (formulas, filtering, cleaning data). - Comfortable working with multiple platforms and learning new software quickly. - Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. - Bonus: Experience with cannabis POS systems (Treez, Dutchie, IndicaOnline, Sweed, METRC). Requirements - A minimum internet speed of 10 Mb/s download and 10 Mb/s upload internationally. - A minimum of 8 GB RAM. - A 64-bit version of Windows 10 or newer, or macOS 10.11 or newer. - An Intel Core i5-8260U or other with better/similar performance (Has to be 8th Gen Intel or above, if Ryzen; 2nd Gen or above). Role Description How can you make a difference? Sitting in Solution’s Emerging Innovation team, this consultant will have a belief that DS/ML can be a powerful tool to help UNICEF rapidly accelerate positive results for children. The successful consultant will have a strong desire to guide and inform early-stage DS/ML projects developed for, and implemented in, UNICEF program countries. Understanding the complexities between theory and practice and what it takes to make future ideas work in different contexts will be a characteristic of the consultant, as well as a conviction for pioneering and promoting responsible and ethical DS/ML practices. The purpose of this assignment is to provide technical support and guidance to the DS/ML related work at OOI as well as across UNICEF through engagements at HQ, Regional and Country level. - Providing DS/ML technical guidance, support and mentorship to: - Venture Fund supported team seed and growth cohort projects and companies. - UNICEF’s Office of Innovation and other UNICEF teams, divisions, and offices. - Supporting the technical exploration, development and rollout of early-stage DS/ML initiatives, models and prototypes, within UNICEF with an aim to accelerate results for children. - Working with internal and external stakeholders to support the understanding, adoption and scale of DS/ML initiatives across UNICEF. - Facilitating project engagements between internal and external technical experts in support of strategic Office of Innovation-funded initiatives. Qualifications - An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Computer Science, Data Science/Machine Learning, or another relevant field. A first University Degree in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree.
