Role Description Fetch is scaling the systems that power tens of millions of users and hundreds of millions of transactions every month. We are hiring a Senior Engineering Manager, User Growth to lead the team responsible for building Fetch's loyalty and retention platform. The Loyalty team builds the systems and experiences that keep users engaged with Fetch over the long term. We design and operate the retention mechanics that reward sustained engagement, such as: - Status and tiers - Achievements - Streaks - Monthly programs The work spans the backend services that track progress and award incentives, and the native iOS and Android experiences users interact with every day. It sits at the core of Fetch's engagement strategy, driving cross-product adoption and turning active users into loyal, lifelong ones, and requires reliable, scalable infrastructure to support continuous experimentation and rapid iteration. As a Senior Engineering Manager on the Loyalty team, you will lead a team of backend, native iOS, and native Android engineers building and evolving everything from backend services to the mobile features that power how users earn, maintain, and benefit from status across Fetch. You will partner closely with Product and Design to shape the user experience, and with Data and Platform teams to deliver new retention mechanics while ensuring the long-term scalability, reliability, and operational health of the platform. This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US offices or remotely in the United States. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience managing software engineers - Strong technical background in backend or native mobile development, with the ability to lead engineers across both - Experience delivering customer-facing products at scale - Ability to evaluate system design, architecture, and technical tradeoffs - Proven track record of leading teams to ship complex projects - Experience partnering with product, design, and cross-functional stakeholders - Commitment to engineering best practices including testing, observability, and incident management - Ability to leverage AI tools to support engineering productivity, code quality, and team efficiency - Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
