Senior Associate, Quality Control

Role Description We are looking for a Senior Associate, Quality Control to join our Vcheck Intelligence (VI) unit. VI is a team of multi-lingual investigators and analysts who conduct deep-dive investigative due diligence research utilizing public records and human source intelligence. This is a full-time review role focused on open-source report quality control. The successful candidate will help ensure the accuracy, thoroughness, and stylistic consistency of VI reports, serve as a research and writing resource for the team, and communicate performance feedback to senior management. - Conduct thorough review of Level 1 and Premier reports to ensure compliance with internal quality standards and client expectations. - Read reports for typos, formatting issues, organizational inconsistencies, and other editorial errors. - Perform spot checks on reports, including litigation checks, media checks, professional history confirmation, education verification, licensing information, PEP/Sanctions hits, and regulatory issues. - Provide clear, consistent, and professional written feedback on report write-ups to help researchers better meet client needs and expectations. - Communicate directly with the research team to help address errors, discrepancies, or other issues identified during the review process. - Answer researcher questions prior to the review stage to help resolve problems upstream. - Assist new researchers with navigating VI work, including guidance on appropriate language, research methodology, and how to approach challenging research scenarios. - Serve as a subject matter expert on industry best practices and standards. - Provide feedback to managers on the performance and progress of direct reports. - Complete scorecards for each reviewed subject, logging feedback and errors. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in open-source investigations in one or more of the following fields: pre-investment due diligence, third-party compliance, KYC, or risk advisory. - At least one year of experience in a full-time content review or quality control capacity. - Bachelor's or graduate degree in International Relations, Political Science, Regional Studies, Journalism, Criminal Justice, Law, Business, or a related field. - Fluency in English, both written and verbal. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. - Strong familiarity with due diligence databases such as TLO, Westlaw, and Rzolut. - Demonstrated ability to conduct media searches and quickly read and comprehend large volumes of media results. - Experience reading and analyzing court documents, including complaints, settlement documents, and judgments. - Excellent written communication and editing skills. - Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills. - Ability to manage a high volume of simultaneously assigned reports with strong attention to detail and time management. - A relevant professional certification such as CFE or CAMS is a plus.
