Senior Operations Manager, Supply - Coding
Snorkel AIThe data-centric AI platform powered by programmatic labeling and foundation models
Role Description The Coding space is one of Snorkel’s most important growth vectors. As enterprises and leading AI labs race to build more capable coding models, demand for high-quality coding data and specialized engineering expertise is accelerating rapidly, making this a strategic priority for the business. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager, Supply - Coding to own and scale the coding supply function, deeply embedded in our Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) business. Our DaaS business sources expert contributors to solve some of the most frontier problems in AI. These contributors include highly specialized software engineers, researchers, and technical experts who perform high-quality AI training work for the world’s leading AI labs. This leader will be responsible for ensuring we have sufficient high-quality coding experts to meet both current and projected customer demand while proactively planning for future growth. The core challenge of this role is finding the right skillsets, at the right capacity, through a mix of channels that solves for both speed and efficiency. This role reports to the Head of Supply and directly supports delivery leadership, working shoulder-to-shoulder with Delivery, Growth, GTM, Finance, Partnerships, and Analytics teams to ensure we have the right contributors, in the right domains, activated and producing at the right time. Understanding the nuances of projects across the entire sales lifecycle, you will be a key stakeholder in translating demand signals into scalable supply strategies and operational plans. This is a high-impact role for an operator who is equally comfortable building strategic growth plans, forecasting future workforce needs, and driving operational excellence through data. You will play a critical role in shifting our operating model from reactive to proactive while ensuring our coding expert ecosystem can scale alongside business growth. What You'll Do - Own the Coding pod’s supply strategy and capacity planning: forecast future talent needs, build supply ahead of customer demand, and align supply investments and expert allocation decisions with forecasted demand and business priorities. - Own coding supply performance and reporting: hold accountability for metrics including expert growth, activation, utilization, forecast accuracy, delivery readiness, and supply-demand balance, and design and own the supply operations dashboard in partnership with Analytics, regularly reviewing performance, surfacing risks, and driving action plans to achieve business targets. - Optimize expert allocation and incentives: deploy the right contributors across competing business priorities to maximize utilization, delivery outcomes, and customer success, and design contributor incentive structures that balance quality, throughput, utilization, and project delivery timelines. - Serve as the primary Supply point of contact for the Coding pod and partner cross-functionally: run pod standups and align priorities and readiness against growth plans; work with Data, Analytics, and Operations on attribution and visibility across every stage of the supply funnel; align with stakeholders to rapidly shift priorities as demand forecasts evolve; and partner closely with Growth, GTM, Finance, and Partnerships to inform commercial planning, workforce readiness, capacity commitments, and long-range supply strategy. - Scale supply channels and manage risk: partner with the Partnerships team to evaluate and scale strategic talent channels including BPOs and other external supply partnerships, and identify structural supply risks, capacity constraints, and delivery dependencies, developing both immediate mitigation plans and long-term solutions. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in growth operations, supply operations, consulting, strategy, or related roles in high-growth or operationally complex environments. - Experience building supply and demand forecasting models, including scenario-based planning (conservative, base, and aggressive cases). - Strong analytical skills, including experience with SQL and data-driven decision-making. - Experience operating in marketplace, workforce, staffing, creator economy, or other two-sided platform businesses. - Demonstrated experience balancing supply growth, utilization, capacity planning, and forecasting in rapidly scaling environments. - Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate business demand signals into actionable supply strategies. - Track record of managing or coordinating cross-functional teams to execute at speed. - Ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous problem spaces and build scalable processes from imperfect systems. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting operational performance and growth metrics to senior stakeholders. - Entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership, strong prioritization skills, and a bias toward action. - Comfortable operating as both a strategic thinker and hands-on operator in a fast-changing environment. Requirements - Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary base for this position can range as detailed below. - The salary range for this position based off of tier 1 locations such as San Francisco Bay Area, New York, and Seattle is $160,000-$240,000. - All offers include equity compensation in the form of employee stock options. Benefits - Snorkel also includes benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)). Company Description Joining Snorkel AI means becoming part of a company that has market proven solutions, robust funding, and is scaling rapidly—offering a unique combination of stability and the excitement of high growth. As a member of our team, you’ll have meaningful opportunities to shape priorities and initiatives, influence key strategic decisions, and directly impact our ongoing success.
