Role Description We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP BTP & Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team and drive the development, automation, and operational excellence of enterprise-grade SAP cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in SAP BTP, SAP CAP development, cloud infrastructure operations, DevOps practices, and modern automation technologies, including AI-assisted development tools. This role requires a proactive professional who can independently manage technical initiatives, collaborate across global teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud-native platforms and delivery processes. Key Responsibilities - Research, analyze, design, and implement technical solutions aligned with SAP product standards and business requirements. - Own the complete lifecycle of technical initiatives, including planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and closure. - Manage multiple concurrent workstreams while ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes. - Collaborate closely with architects, developers, QA engineers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders. - Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-sharing materials. - Drive automation initiatives to improve deployment efficiency, platform reliability, and operational excellence. - Support cloud infrastructure operations, release management, and platform governance activities. - Contribute to security, compliance, and open-source governance initiatives. - Monitor and improve engineering performance metrics, including DORA metrics and deployment efficiency. - Evaluate and leverage AI-powered development tools, agents, and automation frameworks to enhance productivity. Qualifications - SAP CAP Application Development (Node.js) - SAP HANA Database Operations & Administration - SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) – Cloud Foundry - SAP Gardener - SAP Converged Cloud (MONSOON3) - SAP Hyperspace - Jenkins (Pipelines, Groovy DSL, Shared Libraries) - GitHub & GitHub Actions - CI/CD Pipeline Design and Automation - Piper Libraries - Release Management Processes - DORA Metrics Implementation and Monitoring - Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, Cloud Infrastructure Operations, Linux Administration - Node.js, Python, Java, Groovy, JavaScript / TypeScript, Shell Scripting, YAML, JSON - AI-powered Development Tools and Coding Assistants - AI Agents, Plugins, and MCPs (Model Context Protocols) - Experience with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted engineering tools is highly preferred Preferred Qualifications - Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture and distributed systems.
