Construction Engineer 2 – Temp-to-Hire

SOLV Energy

• Support EPC operation related engineering concerns and general guidance on best practices • Facilitate an open flow of communication between operations and engineering partners • Provide transparency during operations and potential remediations • Act as the POC for operations to present engineering concerns • Work with SOLV Engineering, partners, and vendors to understand design methodology • Assist the operation team with engineering related construction RFI’s • Exhibit urgency in resolving RFI’s and operations concerns • Know all project specific design requirements • Develop and maintain relationships with site teams • Ensure compliance with the SOLV EPC Contract • Direct the implementation of autonomous pile driving systems • Assist the operation team with engineering intensive clients • Guide project teams through design comments with consultants • Assist warranty team with confirmation of responsibility related to failures

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, Construction Management, or related field of study
  • 2-5 years of construction-related experience, or equivalent
  • Excellent written communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Aptitude for problem solving, and strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel
  • Exposure in CAD/GIS and aptitude for proficiency in these and other engineering software
  • Ability to read and understand project drawings, and specifications
  • Field experience preferred

You will work closely with our Australian project managers, design team, and commercial leadership across daily collaboration hours. You will prepare accurate, commercially sound estimates across a range of civil and landscape infrastructure works, including: - Streetscape upgrades - Stormwater systems - Public domain projects - Integrated civil and landscape packages This is a senior role for an estimator who thinks like a constructor, project manager, and commercial risk manager — not just a take-off operator. You will directly influence project profitability, delivery success, and long-term client relationships. What You'll Do - Tender & Bid Management - Review tender invitations, conduct go/no-go analysis, and assess contract conditions - Manage tender timelines and submission schedules - Coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing -
