Role Description Allied is looking for a temporary freelance Art Director to support a fast-moving mix of medical-adjacent brand work, website design, presentation decks, collateral, campaign creative, and CRM/email design. This role is best suited to someone who can do both: think conceptually like an art director and execute hands-on like a senior designer. The work will include: - Polished B2B healthcare and medical-adjacent materials - Brand storytelling - Website and digital design - Investor/partner-facing presentations - One-pagers - Campaign concepting - Modular CRM/email creative The right person should be comfortable translating complex information into clear, professional, client-ready creative. They should be able to work within client-approved source material, medical or technical language, brand guidelines, and fast-moving feedback cycles without losing design quality or strategic clarity. This is a temporary freelance role expected to run from June through September, with June likely the heaviest month and a steadier but lower lift from July through September. We will be prioritizing candidates who are based in Central or Eastern time zones. Qualifications - Strong experience as an Art Director, Senior Designer, Design Director, or senior-level integrated designer - A portfolio showing strong work across decks, websites, digital, campaigns, and collateral - Ability to both concept and execute - Strong typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and presentation design skills - Experience designing in Figma or Adobe XD - Comfort working on B2B, SaaS, healthcare, medical, biotech, technical, or regulated-category work - Strong preference for healthcare, medical, biotech, life sciences, SaaS, or healthcare innovation experience - CRM/email design experience is helpful - Ability to work quickly, stay organized, and maintain quality under tight timelines - Comfort working remotely with distributed teams Requirements - Lead and execute senior design work - Develop polished visual directions for medical-adjacent brand, platform, and campaign materials - Design presentation decks, one-pagers, website pages, landing page concepts, campaign visuals, and CRM/email layouts - Translate technical, healthcare, SaaS, platform, and B2B content into clear visual systems - Create work that feels credible, modern, premium, and easy to understand - Support campaign and concept development - Help develop campaign look and feel, hero creative concepts, and sample applications - Create visual systems that can flex across websites, decks, social/digital mockups, email, and collateral - Bring strong art direction, typography, hierarchy, and layout judgment to early creative exploration - Support website and digital design - Design website pages, content modules, and digital experiences in Figma or Adobe XD - Help turn complex site content into clear, scannable, audience-specific page structures - Partner with copy, strategy, account, and development teams to ensure design is clear, useful, and buildable - Support CRM/email creative - Develop modular email creative within approved systems and templates - Design emails that are easy to scan, performance-minded, and clear in hierarchy - Support audience or market-specific variations as needed - Work directly with internal and client teams - Present creative work clearly and confidently when needed - Explain design rationale, respond to feedback, and help move work forward - Partner with creative directors, copywriters, account leads, strategists, and project teams Benefits - Temporary Art Director role - Timing: June through September - Expected lift: Full-time or near full-time in June, then part-time from July through September - Estimated hours: Up to 160 hours in June, then roughly 100–110 hours/month July through September - Location: Remote - Time zone preference: Central or Eastern hours preferred - Portfolio required: Online portfolio or selected work samples required
