You will shape the data platform, not inherit a finished one. CITY HOME is modernizing its core technology platform and building a data-driven enterprise. We are looking for a Director, Data & Analytics to lead our data engineering, analytics, and applied AI practices. This role will transform our AWS data platform into a scalable, trusted foundation for executive dashboards, self-service analytics, embedded analytics in operational tools, real-time operational data, and responsible AI-enabled capabilities. You will report to the SVP of Engineering and partner closely with Engineering, Product, Enterprise Architecture, Store Operations, Supply Chain, and Business leaders. What You’ll Do - Lead and scale Data Engineering, Analytics, and Applied AI teams. - Own and evolve our AWS data platform, including data lake, pipelines, modeling, access patterns, platform reliability, and event-driven data flows. - Build real-time and operational data capabilities that support OMS modernization, store operations, delivery logistics, customer experience, and executive decision-making. - Establish data governance, data quality, stewardship, metadata, lineage, privacy, consent, and PII handling practices. - Define and deliver data products aligned to business capabilities, KPIs, and operational workflows. - Enable self-service analytics, executive reporting, and embedded analytics in business tools. - Own AI governance and responsible AI practices, including model risk, data privacy in AI contexts, and production AI use-case oversight. - Partner with Engineering and Architecture teams to integrate data into core systems, including ERP, OMS, Supply Chain, and customer platforms. What We’re Looking For - 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, data architecture, or data platform roles. - 5+ years of leadership experience managing data teams and driving enterprise data initiatives. - Proven experience building or modernizing cloud data platforms, AWS preferred. - Strong understanding of data modeling, pipelines, analytics architecture, data governance, privacy, and operational data patterns. - Experience enabling AI, ML, or advanced analytics use cases in production environments with responsible AI practices. - Experience in multi-channel retail, omnichannel, supply chain, logistics, or similarly complex operational environments. - Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels with strong communication and stakeholder leadership skills. - Valid Florida Driver License Nice to Have - Experience with retail data challenges such as long purchase cycles, high average order value, delivery and installation logistics, and attribution across digital and physical channels. - Experience modernizing legacy systems into cloud-based architectures. - Familiarity with data catalog, lineage, metadata, quality, consent-management, and privacy tools. - Experience with BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar. - AWS, CDMP, DAMA, privacy, or AI governance certifications.
