Role Description CVS Health is looking for a Workday Technical-Functional Expert (with Core HCM, Compensation, Payroll and Absence expertise) to join our Human Resources Technology team. We’re seeking an experienced and motivated individual who is ready to take on the challenge of supporting HR and Payroll business operations by providing optimal and scalable technological solutions. This person will be an integral part of a team responsible for Workday Payroll and Absence Management modules for domestic (USA) and international employees meeting the needs of CVS Health’s Total rewards, Legal and Human Resources business partners and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of functional and technical expertise, as well as a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical partners. You will provide integral support to the Human Resources and Payroll organizations for their technology needs collaborating with HR Business Partners, COEs and HR Shared Services across all business segments. You will establish cross-functional relationships throughout HR Technology and Human Resources to ensure solutions and initiatives are effectively designed and implemented. Work with dedication and motivation to support the goal of paying all the employees accurately on time, every time. This role may work onsite 2 days a week in one of CVS Health's core hubs in: Farmers Branch, TX; Scottsdale, AZ; Hartford, CT or Woonsocket, RI. Full-time Remote candidates will also be considered. Primary Responsibilities include: - Partner with business and technical teams to support and enhance Workday HCM, Absence, Compensation, and Payroll in alignment with the global roadmap. - Gather and translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions, including process optimization, fit-gap analysis, configuration, testing, and deployment. - Manage enhancements, projects, and defects, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery that meets business objectives. - Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and leadership to drive alignment, manage escalations, and communicate progress and risks. - Support Workday releases, including impact assessment, regression testing, and coordination with stakeholders on changes and opportunities. - Maintain project plans, documentation, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to SLAs and operational priorities (KTLO). - Lead or support user acceptance testing and develop training materials, job aids, and change management resources. - Leverage data, reporting, and insights to inform decisions and improve Workday strategy and performance. - Stay current on Workday capabilities and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Qualifications - 5+ years' experience in a Workday Payroll Technical-functional lead role. - 5+ years' experience configuring and debugging Business Processes and building solutions in Workday. - 3+ years' experience configuring Workday Payroll, Absence, Core HCM and Core Compensation product areas. - 5+ years' experience working on calculated fields, complex reports and various configurations in Workday. - 5+ years' experience working with business to gather requirements, perform fit gap analysis, design solutions, create functional designs, configuring Workday application, performing user acceptance testing, and maintaining the health of the product. - 5+ years' experience generating reports for analysis, data auditing and supporting requests from various business teams. - 3+ years' experience working with the HR technology landscape, including cloud computing and mobile technologies. - 2+ years' experience collaborating with SaaS vendors to deliver business needs. - 1+ years' experience mentoring and training junior members in the team. Education - Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience required. Anticipated Weekly Hours - 40 Time Type - Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $101,970.00 - $203,940.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. • Serve as the go-to payroll expert for your assigned country, with deep knowledge of local legislation, tax laws, and compliance standards • Monitor and assess upcoming regulatory changes by working closely with the Compliance Alerts team, industry associations (e.g., Global Payroll Association), and government updates • Partner with the Product Development team to inform and influence the product roadmap and ensure the country-specific functionality is up to date • Maintain and update country workbooks with new legislative requirements and compliance changes • Analyze existing payroll procedures and recommend improvements to eliminate inefficiencies and minimize manual processes • Drive the evolution of Strada Pay by enhancing product functionality, cost-effectiveness, and user experience tailored to local market needs • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within your country for Strada Pay methodology, delivery approach, templates, and standards • Provide subject matter expertise and strategic input to Strada Pay project teams during client deployments, ensuring smooth transitions into operational use • Act as a gatekeeper for client customization requests—balancing innovation with standardization and compliance • Support pre-sales activities by showcasing Strada Pay capabilities to prospective clients, sharing insights, lessons learned, and best practices • Collaborate with peers across the Country Champion network to share knowledge and drive alignment globally

• Supervise and support a German payroll team, including holding regular 1:1 meetings and performance conversations • Conduct Continuous Performance Discussions (CPD) and quarterly objective setting with team members • Act as an escalation point for client issues related to German payrolls and ensure timely resolution • Oversee payroll accuracy by conducting performance reviews and identifying areas for process improvement • Monitor and address team and individual training needs, supporting ongoing skill development • Manage end-to-end German payroll processing in line with CloudPay's governance and service standards • Ensure adherence to payroll calendar deadlines, SLAs, and accuracy expectations • Collaborate with other German Payroll Supervisors and SMEs to ensure cohesive service delivery • Work in partnership with the German Payroll Manager to maintain and enhance payroll operations • Recommend and implement process improvements to boost team efficiency and quality • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members, providing structured support • Investigate discrepancies in payroll data and ensure procedures are followed before processing • Complete cross-checks and validation to ensure payroll results meet compliance standards • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audits and internal controls • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of payroll, including salary payments aligned to client SLAs • Prepare and submit statutory declarations to authorities as required • Create regular and ad hoc payroll reports, and respond to special client requests with care and accuracy

• Partnering with our clients to understand their current payroll requirements to propose effective Strada solutions • Understanding client business issues and constraints and recommend the best solutions • Capture and document client requirements as appropriate and create the relevant work packages according the agreed signed of solutions • Leading the Solution design, review and alignment of deliverables to ensure we deliver on-time and in-scope • Ensure that lessons learned activities from a functional and technical point of view are completed • Provide deliverables and project objectives to functional and technical resources assigned to the project • Document any deviations from Strada standards and report them to the project team • Providing subject matter expertise for all SAP payroll related technical and functional issues • Provide subject matter expertise to all technical and functional resources assigned in the project • Act as the Payroll lead / SPOC for SAP Payroll Management development, defect identification, and defect resolution • Extensive and proven SAP HCM & Payroll configuration skills (Evaluation and Schemas) • Must have experience on German, Austria or Switzerland Payroll - Schemas, sickness process, PCRs, wage type creation, basic pay configuration, etc. • Troubleshoot and resolve HCM & Payroll problems/failures for both external and internal customers and updating ticket logging systems in a timely and accurate manner • Act as the primary escalation point within the project or as SPOC within maintenance Service for all issues related to the implementation and system configuration • Ensure proficiency and quality in the configuration, use and deployment of OM/PA/PY/TM modules in the project currently assigned with Partnering with internal cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery • Close collaboration with Project Managers, team members and Service Delivery Management • Mentoring junior colleagues • Support the Sales and Pre-Sales teams where needed • Working with payroll implementation team on the build of the system
