In this role, you will be a key partner across engineering and brand teams, collaborating closely with content strategists, designers, and marketing leads. Your work will focus on building and iterating on a website that prioritizes speed, accessibility, and ease of management for the entire team. What You'll Do: - Architect, build and maintain our Marketing website using React, Next.js and Tailwind.css with a focus on performance and scalability. - Partner with design to implement polished, pixel-perfect UI components with a strong eye for detail. - Integrate with third party services including analytics, CMS, Marketo Forms and A/B testing tools - Establish and maintain staging and production deployments with reliability and speed. - Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to translate campaign and product goals into technical solutions. - Drive Core Web Vitals scores, SEO best practices and web accessibility across all the pages. - Govern and continuously optimize development and operations workflows - from branching strategies and release processes to incident response time. Basic Qualifications: - At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply) - At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of front-end engineering experience - Strong understanding of React and Next JS including App Router, server components and SSG/SSR strategies. - Strong understanding of TypeScript, Tailwind CSS and responsive/accessible components - Experience integrating with headless CMS platforms and third party APIs - Experience working directly with Marketing and design stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows - 3+ years of experience with Contentful CMS - Experience with design systems Figma, ShadCn UI At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. Role Description We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer (Contract) to join a team responsible for one of our most critical and widely used store-facing mobile applications - a platform that empowers thousands of store team members across hundreds of retail locations.
