Senior Product Marketing Manager – Public Sector

• Serve as a technical expert leading thought leadership among government partners, customers, and at key industry events. • Lead new product and solution launches tailored to the Public Sector, ensuring successful positioning within government procurement cycles. • Develop messaging strategies that maintain technical accuracy and alignment with frameworks such as NIST, CISA Binding Operational Directives (BOD), and CJIS. • Provide actionable market insights on the legislative landscape (e.g., Cyber Executive Orders), customer feedback, and competitive analysis to influence product roadmaps, certifications, and go-to-market strategies. • Partner with cross-functional teams to support complex government contract vehicles and channel-centric business models (e.g., Carahsoft, GSA). • Develop compelling demo use cases and sales plays focused on government-specific environments, including hybrid cloud, zero trust, and critical infrastructure. • Create impactful marketing assets including white papers on compliance, blog posts, website content, and specialized sales collateral for Federal/SLED account teams. • Partner with performance marketing teams to create and execute campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and measurable growth within specific agencies. • Engage the government cybersecurity community through social channels, technical forums, and industry events to foster advocacy and adoption. • Contribute to analyst and public relations efforts to amplify Tenable’s leadership in government-wide exposure management. • Develop and deliver partner and sales enablement programs, including training and resources that enhance customer success across the public sector.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years in product marketing or a related role within the Public Sector/B2G technology space.
- Solid understanding of the cybersecurity market, with the ability to translate technical concepts (Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security, OT) into mission-level outcomes.
- Proven experience leading product or solution launches that drive measurable results in the Federal or SLED markets.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams and specialized government sales units.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to craft messages for both technical practitioners (CISO/ISSO) and executive agency leadership.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments where change is the norm and the bar for quality is high.
- Experience partnering with fast-paced, research-based teams to extract and market technical insights.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 20% to engage with agencies and attend key Public Sector summits.
- Based in the greater Boston, MA, or Columbia, MD areas.
