Senior Payroll and Labor Compliance Analyst

Role Description Join our team as a Payroll and Labor Compliance Analyst, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring our payroll and labor processes are accurate, timely, and compliant with all regulatory and government‑contracting standards. We’re looking for someone who brings strong analytical skills, sharp attention to detail, and a knack for innovative problem‑solving — someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast‑moving environment and enjoys improving processes. Key Responsibilities - Monitor payroll operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. - Monitor payroll and labor practices for compliance with DCAA, FAR, SOX, and government contracting requirements. - Review employee timesheets, labor allocations, and payroll adjustments for accuracy and policy compliance. - Conduct audits of payroll, labor charging, and timekeeping records to identify discrepancies and compliance risks. - Prepare payroll, labor, and compliance reports for management and auditors. - Investigate payroll variances, labor mischarges, and employee inquiries, resolving issues promptly. - Maintain payroll documentation, audit trails, and compliance records in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards. - Support internal and external audits by gathering payroll records, labor documentation, and supporting evidence for review. - Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll reconciliations, tax reporting, and financial close activities. - Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, tax regulations, leave policies, and government contract labor requirements. - Enhance payroll procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes through continuous process improvement and automation initiatives to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. - Maintain strict confidentiality of employee payroll and compensation information. Qualifications - High School Diploma. - CPP certification. - 5+ years of payroll experience required; experience supporting labor accounting, government contracting, or compliance functions preferred. - Knowledge of DCAA, FAR, SOX, and government contracting compliance requirements preferred. - Experience with payroll and timekeeping systems (Deltek Costpoint, ADP, or similar preferred but not required). - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. - Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
