Acting as a senior change agent, you coach MDs and their teams, lead divisional kaizen activity, build capability, and ensure GBS becomes 'the way we work' across the division. This role partners closely with the Strategic Deployment GBS lead, who is responsible for setting the long term strategy of CMS and translating this to clear priorities while this role focuses on driving execution, standardisation and freeing capacity, cash and profit to fund future growth opportunities. Note – the Genuit Business System (GBS) is a continually improving set of companywide standardised tools encompassing all areas of business and focused around lean principles, designed to drive growth, efficiency and people development across the business. Key Responsibilities - Lead cross-business collaboration, alignment and excellence across the CMS division. - Act as a core member of the GBS leadership community, partnering closely with the Strategic Deployment Lead to ensure divisional execution aligns to the long-term CMS strategy. - Act as a trusted advisor to MDs, site leaders and operational teams on excellence, coaching them to build capability, embed CI into daily operations and embedding structured ways of working to sustain improvements independently. - Facilitate impactful cross-functional kaizen events and improvement workshops at both divisional and local levels enabling teams to learn from each other, replicate best practice and generate measurable outcomes in a consistent manner across CMS businesses. - Take ownership for GBS deployment and the delivery of meaningful results. - Lead the divisional embedding of GBS into the organisational culture through continuous improvement efforts and reinforcement of GBS Lean Principles. - Own the divisional improvement funnel, ensuring initiatives are prioritised, resourced, aligned to annual business priorities, and delivering clear ROI. - Embed strong governance, visual management and escalation routines to ensure improved processes sustain across multiple businesses. - Track, report and communicate performance improvements, ensuring visibility of results, learnings and ROI across the division. - Ensure sustainability of improvements by building checks, controls, routines and succession planning that prevent regression. - Challenge assumptions, push boundaries, and create a culture of continuous improvement. - Proactively identify, prioritise and execute value‑creating improvements aligned to divisional KPIs and business unit goals. - Deliver short–to–mid‑term improvement initiatives that directly enhance safety, quality, cost, delivery, and cash performance to enable high-margin, disruptive growth. - Lead deep-dive process mapping across sites and functions to remove non-value-added activity and improve consistency. - Use KPI analysis, Pareto techniques and business insight to prioritise the highest-impact improvements division-wide. - Strengthen GBS maturity by sharing best practice across CMS and into broader Genuit networks. - Role-model Genuit trademark behaviours, role-model the GBS mindset, and support the development of a positive, improvement‑driven culture. Qualifications - Proven experience leading large-scale transformation or continuous improvement across multiple businesses. - Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide and motivate team members. - Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. - Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments. - Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable improvements in operational KPIs. - Experience leading cross-functional change in a practical, people-centred way. Requirements - Expert knowledge of Lean, GBS or equivalent structured improvement methodologies. - Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or other structured improvement methodologies. Benefits - 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays. - Pension contribution matched up to 8%. - Life Assurance 3x base salary. - Private health scheme. - Genuit sharesave scheme.
