Title: Director / Sr. Director, Web & Digital Location: Austin, Texas, United States; Reston, Virginia, United States Job Description: About the Role This is the senior individual contributor who owns Seekr's digital surface - web, SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and the digital footprint where buyers find Seekr, evaluate Seekr, and convert. The role sits in marketing as a peer to the Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and PR & Communications functions, reporting directly to the CMO. You are the senior practitioner who builds, ships, and owns the work - you will partner with an external agency and direct that relationship as a buyer who knows what good looks like and can transition to in-house production where the math favors it. This role lives at the intersection of brand and demand. The website is both brand expression and the conversion mechanism. SEO and AEO are content strategy and pipeline contribution. You own that intersection. You are an AEO activist, not a hobbyist. Buyers increasingly start their evaluations through AI search and chat interfaces, not classic SERPs. The discipline of optimizing for how LLMs surface and cite Seekr is core to this role - not as a buzzword, but as a real, measurable practice that sits alongside traditional SEO. This role is where Seekr practices what it preaches: optimizing for explainable AI by building for the AI interfaces buyers actually use. Duties and Responsibilities - Own the Seekr web property end-to-end. Set the strategy, direct the agency on execution, and personally write or edit copy where craft is required. - Build and run the SEO program across technical SEO, content SEO, link strategy, keyword and intent research. Coordinate with Technical Product Marketing on content topics and with Demand Generation on conversion paths. - Build and run the AEO program. Optimize Seekr's discoverability and citation rates across AI search interfaces (ChatGPT search, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and the rest of the field). Measure, iterate, and document the practice for an industry that is still figuring it out. Coordinate with PR & Communications on the broader information-environment strategy - what shows up in synthesized answers is shaped by both earned media and structured web content. - Partner with Demand Generation on landing page strategy, A/B testing, and campaign-specific microsites. Where Demand Generation owns the campaign, you own the digital surface the campaign lands on. - Partner with Technical Product Marketing on product pages, solution pages, and the architecture of how Seekr's technical story is told on the web. - Partner with PR & Communications on the press room, newsroom, executive thought leadership pages, and the digital expression of earned media. - Own digital analytics in partnership with Marketing Operations - GA4, Search Console, server log analysis, AI search analytics where available. - Direct the web agency relationship. Where they are delivering, scale the engagement. Where they are not, manage to better outcomes. - Build and operate AI-accelerated workflows across the digital function - content gap analysis, technical SEO auditing, AEO measurement, A/B test analysis, conversion path diagnostics. Seekr is an AI company; the digital surface should be the most obvious place where we use AI well in our own work. Qualifications and Skills - 10+ years in web and digital marketing, with at least three of those years owning a technical B2B company's web property end-to-end. - Strong technical SEO and content SEO portfolio. You can talk credibly about Core Web Vitals, schema, internal linking, content gap analysis, and competitive SEO without a deck. - Hands-on AEO experience and demonstrated commitment to building the practice. We don't need a five-year track record (no one has one); we need someone who has been actively practicing for the last 12 months and has a point of view. - Experience managing external web agencies as a buyer who knows the work - directing scope, holding to standards, and transitioning to in-house when appropriate. - Strong web copywriting skills and demonstrated comfort with technical AI subject matter - enough to brief on Seekr's product without translation by Technical Product Marketing. - Expert in web analytics, conversion rate optimization, and the connection from organic traffic to qualified pipeline. - Demonstrated practice using AI tools to accelerate digital workflows - SEO and AEO measurement, content analysis, technical auditing, testing diagnostics. We will ask what you have built, what you have automated, and where you draw the line.
