Role Description Responsible for the deployment, provisioning, hardening, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and related cloud services. Utilizes scripting and infrastructure technologies for environment orchestration. Role Description The Upstream Field Application Specialist is responsible for partnering with customers and sales teams to identify, design and deliver customized hardware demonstrations, process simulations, and proof of concept applications to clearly articulate value and differentiate solutions that directly address customer needs and drive business outcomes. This position reports to the Genomic Medicine Field Application Leader and is part of the Cytiva Genomic Medicine Operating Company working remotely to cover Southeast and North Central US territory. What you will do: - Translates customer requirements into product and application recommendations for Cytiva’s upstream product portfolio, including iCellis, Xcellerex™ XDR and X platform, and WAVE™ bioreactor systems while ensuring the alignment with both technical specifications and commercial goals. - Work closely with customers to optimize workflows and maximize the performance and impact of deployed solutions for bioreactor users, including expert technical support such as troubleshooting and extended onsite process-related problem solving. - Engages customers through on-site visits, industry events, and thought leadership sessions to build customer confidence in the decision-making process. - Documents insights, recommendations, and results through detailed reports, equipping sales teams with the information needed to move opportunities forward and close business. - Provides strategic technical guidance to remove barriers, strengthen value propositions, and increase win probability, including preparing and executing standard and custom courses, delivering lectures and hands-on lab training, and contributing to the development and continuous improvement of course materials and practical exercises. Qualifications - BS Degree in Life Science (Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry) or Engineering. - At least 3 years of post-bachelor working experience in a Biotech, Pharma, or Academic lab with hands-on experience in cell culture process development and scale up producing viral vectors. - Technical knowledge in workflow processes for viral vectors (AAV, lentivirus, oncolytic virus, etc.) and/or nucleic acid (plasmid, mRNA, circular RNA, etc.). - Proven team player with a customer mindset and an ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manner as well as independently to achieve commercial success. - Experienced problem-solver with polished presentation skills – ability to resolve complex problems, communicate issues, and propose solutions to both external customers and internal team members. - Able to produce a well-written scientific paper or report, draw proper scientific conclusions, and provide recommendations based on data. Role Description The Applications Engineer is responsible for acting as a liaison between the Sales & Marketing and the Engineering departments to ensure technical accuracy in all commercial matters. The Applications Engineer must also ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by ensuring internal channels have a correct understanding of customer needs. Essential Functions - Daily On-Site Attendance. - Works with the Sales & Marketing department to ensure quoted products meet customer application. - Acts as a liaison between the Sales & Marketing and Engineering departments in the creation of transformer designs during the quoting process. - Maintains and updates the Pricing Configurator tool. - Collaborates with the Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain Management departments to ensure that pricing structures are appropriate. - Collaborates with the Director of Sales & Marketing, Director of Operations, and Senior Supply Chain Management Specialist to develop technical marketing material. - Develops technical presentation content for meetings with customers and Sales Representatives. - Conducts customer product awareness training seminars. - Participates in industry events, including conferences and trade shows, to network and promote the Company’s products. - Attends daily and weekly internal Sales Meetings.
