The Coding Supervisor serves as a working supervisor with oversight and management of Risk Adjustment team members. This includes monitoring production and quality of employees’ work, process improvements and clear communication of expectations. This position supports and coaches front line talent to ensure the highest level of service to clients and ultimately the patient lives we impact. You will: Supervise day-to-day team performance, conduct 1:1’s and performance assessments. Responsible for reviewing and approving time sheets and time off requests. Receive, merge and track quality, productivity, and feedback for all team members. Provide a summary of productivity findings on a daily basis, including education on time management and best coding practices. Provide coaching and feedback on achieving production and quality standards of the role. Report trends for education opportunities to management for review and/or action. Motivate team members through effective training, supplemental materials and coaching to improve quality and production. Apply guidelines and concepts as indicated. Serve as resource and subject matter expert to staff. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements. The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is: $65,000 — $84,000 USD To ensure the safety of patients and staff, many of our clients require post-offer health screenings and proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot, Tdap, COVID-19, etc. Any requests to be exempted from these requirements will be reviewed by Datavant Human Resources and determined on a case-by-case basis. Job Requirements

  • Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • What you will bring to the table:
  • AHIMA certified credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS) or AAPC certified credentials (CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC, CRC)
  • Extensive knowledge of ICD -9/10
  • 2 years coding experience, required.
  • People Leader experience managing a team of employees.
  • Familiarity with HCC coding.
  • A strong knowledge base of medical terminology, medical abbreviations, pharmacology and disease processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining adherence to high quality standards.
  • Must be able to follow instructions, meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Ability to be flexible in work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a remote environment and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of the business use of computer hardware and software to ensure effectiveness and quality of the processing and security of the data.
