Senior Legal Counsel

Role Description We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel (Contracts) for our team. - Serve as a key legal partner to internal stakeholders, providing practical and commercially sound advice on contractual and related legal matters. - Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a wide variety of agreements with counterparties across different jurisdictions. - Support the preparation and negotiation of term sheets, letters of intent, and final-form contracts. - Oversee the end-to-end contract process, including drafting, coordination of internal approvals, execution, and recordkeeping. - Advise business teams on the use of templates and standard legal documentation, and contribute to their ongoing improvement. - Maintain well-structured legal records, including contract repositories, powers of attorney, and internal project documentation. - Prepare internal updates and reports on contract flow, negotiation progress, and legal project status. - Conduct legal quality checks on documentation and help ensure that internal legal and compliance steps are completed accurately and on time. - Collaborate with other legal team members on broader cross-functional initiatives when needed. Qualifications - Law degree; an advanced legal degree would be considered an advantage. - 7+ years of relevant experience in contracts, legal operations, corporate secretarial, or a comparable legal function. - Previous experience in a reputable international company, multi-jurisdictional in-house environment, or leading law firm. - Strong knowledge of contract law principles, corporate governance, and legal/regulatory frameworks across different jurisdictions. - Excellent contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills. - Ability to assess legal risk in a pragmatic way and propose solutions aligned with business priorities and market practice. - Strong organisational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. - Clear written and verbal communication skills. - Proactive, dependable, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities. - Strong documentation and data management skills, with the ability to keep legal information structured and up to date. - Fluent Russian and English, both written and spoken.
