Role Description The Associate attorney will manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution, providing strategic legal counsel and representation in court, arbitrations, and depositions. This role requires exceptional research, drafting, and litigation skills, along with the ability to collaborate closely with partners and clients in a fast-paced environment. • Partner with Practice Group Leaders and firm management to develop and execute operational plans aligned with strategic goals. • Facilitate day-to-day practice operations, including workflow coordination, resource planning, and innovation and process improvement initiatives. • Monitor key financial metrics including revenue, realization, utilization, expenses, and profitability, productivity, and client trends, and provide regular reporting and analysis. • Support budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and matter management activities in collaboration with practice group and firm leadership. • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardize processes, and enhance service delivery across offices and teams. • Work with attorney leadership to support staffing models, workload balance, and capacity planning for lawyers and professional staff. • Act as a liaison between legal operations and other firm functions/administrative departments. • Collaborate with Human Resources on recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and professional development initiatives. • Coordinate with Marketing and Business Development and the Director of Client Relations on client-facing initiatives, pitches, and market-facing priorities. • Track and report on practice performance indicators and recommend actions to address risks, improve outcomes, and support growth.
• Evaluation of insurance policies, assessment of risks, and effective communication with clients regarding the legal standards by which an insurance coverage dispute will be measured • Extensive legal research and drafting of coverage opinions, as well as briefs, memos, and pleadings • Represent insurer clients in court and in depositions • Collaborate closely with partners and clients to deliver timely coverage advice • Manage deadlines and assignments with a high level of ownership and independence
• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communication plans aligned with the firm’s strategic and business development objectives. • Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and accountability. • Develop, implement, and maintain firmwide brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all channels. • Oversee the creation and production of marketing materials (digital and print), including brochures, practice descriptions, attorney biographies, pitch materials, and client presentations. • Collaborate on client targeting, cross-selling initiatives, and relationship expansion strategies. • Evaluate and support sponsorships, conferences, and events to maximize visibility and ROI. • Oversee digital marketing strategy, including website, social media, email marketing, and online campaigns. • Direct content strategy, including thought leadership, PR initiatives, webinar, and podcast production. • Oversee event planning, execution, and follow-up. • Oversee firm’s travel program. • Collaborate on internal communications including firm updates and newsletters and other employee engagement. • Ensure ongoing optimization of marketing technology platforms and tools. • Manage integrated marketing campaigns to drive engagement and brand awareness. • Manage budgets, resources, and third-party vendor relationships. • Oversee updates and content management for the firm’s website and intranet. • Track, analyze, and report on marketing metrics, including ROI and KPIs. • Support rankings, awards submissions, and directory listings. • Serve as a key liaison between marketing, business development, attorneys, and firm leadership. • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to inform ongoing strategy and opportunities for growth. • Ensure all marketing and communications activities are compliant with legal industry and ethics rules and standards.
• Monitor security tools and alerts and investigate suspicious activity. • Triage, document, and escalate security incidents in coordination with IT and leadership. • Assist with incident response activities, including containment, remediation, and post-incident reviews. • Help create annual audits of current core security controls, policies, and procedures. • Take ownership of the Threatlocker process and review permitted policies. • Assist in reviewing and improving baseline security standards for endpoints, identities, email, and cloud services. • Support vulnerability management activities, including scanning and risk prioritization. • Support client-driven security audits and maintain evidence and documentation for security controls. • Assist with risk assessments and exception tracking. • Support identity and access management processes and assist in protecting sensitive legal and client data. • Work with IT, Operations, HR, and vendors to embed security into firm processes and assist with security awareness initiatives.
• Supports the administration of the firm’s employee benefits and payroll related functions • Works closely with HR, Payroll, and external vendors to maintain accurate records and resolve employee inquiries • Supports payroll and timekeeping functions, including Hours Worked files and HSA enrollments • Coordinates employee lifecycle transactions such as offboarding, terminations, and title changes • Maintains accurate employee records across HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems
• Oversee the AP team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations • Manage daily responsibilities and workload distribution across the AP team • Document, maintain, and enforce AP policies and procedures • Continuously evaluate and enhance AP workflows and systems • Investigate any AP errors promptly and implement corrective actions • Ensure all AP processes are completed accurately for month-end close • Perform year-end reporting and support audit requirements as needed • Regularly review AP aging reports to resolve long-outstanding invoices • Provide hands-on support and coverage across all areas of AP operations
