Role Description We are looking for a Senior Litigation Counsel for our team. - Lead and oversee significant multi-jurisdictional disputes, including: - Commercial litigation (e.g., contract breaches, disputes over equipment quality or lease agreements) - International arbitration (e.g., claims related to misrepresentation, fraud, or recovery of financial losses) - Financial recovery matters (e.g., frozen assets, unauthorized transactions, or overpayments) - Prepare and submit legal filings (pleadings, motions, etc.) across key jurisdictions (UAE, UK, EU, HK) - Oversee all stages of litigation — from discovery and depositions to trial preparation — with minimal supervision - Coordinate with local legal advisors to ensure seamless case execution - Conduct in-depth legal research to shape strategic case approaches - Maintain meticulous case files and ensure full document traceability - Draft legal memoranda, briefs, and internal advisory notes - Manage e-discovery processes and conduct comprehensive document reviews - Support settlement discussions and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) initiatives - Update litigation calendars and case management systems - Collaborate with expert witnesses and cross-functional teams to strengthen case positioning - Develop litigation strategies and contribute to the evolution of best practices - Monitor legislative and judicial updates relevant to key practice areas - Build and maintain legal templates, research databases, and knowledge-sharing resources - Assist in internal reporting and communication initiatives - Support operational tasks, such as proposal drafting and client presentation preparation Qualifications - Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a recognised law school - Valid license to practice law - 7-10 years of hands-on litigation or dispute resolution experience Requirements - Exceptional analytical and legal research abilities, with strong command of legal databases - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of drafting precise legal documents - Deep understanding of civil procedure, evidence rules, and court protocols - Proficiency in e-discovery tools and litigation support software - Proven ability to juggle multiple high-priority cases and meet tight deadlines - High level of organisation and attention to detail - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively within teams - Professional demeanour when interacting with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials - Practical experience with Google Workspace, Notion, and LLMs Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience in commercial litigation - Familiarity with ADR methods (mediation, arbitration, etc.) - Experience with case management and legal project tools - Knowledge of legal tech solutions and their application in dispute resolution - Hands-on experience in document review and e-discovery coordination - Willingness to travel for court appearances, depositions, or meetings with external counsel - Flexibility to work extended hours when case demands require - Commitment to continuous legal education and staying up-to-date with evolving regulations - Close collaboration with senior leadership and exposure to strategic business matters - Real ownership of legal projects from start to finish Benefits - Fully remote format with the flexibility to work from anywhere - Broad international scope and a diverse range of legal work - A modern, technology-enabled environment with an AI-forward mindset - 40 paid days off per year - Competitive compensation aligned with the seniority and scope of the role
