Role Description Trane Key Accounts is hiring for a Virtual Application Specialist I (Equipment). In this role, you will be responsible for the equipment portion of various projects including: - Validating the equipment selection, pricing, discounts, and submittal processes of the equipment portion of projects as required. - Accountable for the strategy and performance achievement of the specific budget objectives. Responsibilities include: - Optimization/validation of the equipment, including selection of size, configuration, voltage, options, etc. by reviewing plans, specifications, original estimate, and proposal. - Evaluating possible cost savings and/or cost problems that may occur on various projects. - Validating project scope by reviewing transition documents, plans, and specs; listing possible cost savings and problems; and validating quantities and configurations. - Supporting sales and developing preliminary and/or final submittals as required. - Holding job cost consensus meetings and submittal releases, making necessary changes. - Maintaining competitive advantage and staying abreast of industry trends. - Optimizing expenses by negotiating prices with vendors for materials. - Preparing the correct equipment for order entry, verifying equipment pricing, and reconciling job costs. - Providing technical support after an order is closed for equipment installation process and functions required for execution and customer satisfaction. Qualifications - Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction or Engineering Technology, or other related areas. - Minimum four (4) years of experience in the HVAC industry performing project management or estimating roles; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. - Alternatively, a minimum of six (6) years of experience in the HVAC industry performing project management or estimating roles; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. - Familiarity with applied HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls preferred. - Flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required. • Developing effective solutions that fulfill stakeholder requirements • Develop application features and functionality independently as well as in collaboration with other team members • Implement new and maintain existing subscription product configurators • Implement solutions for processing subscription orders, booking revenue, invoicing one-time/reoccurring products, automating subscription turn-up, managing customer entitlements and process subscription amendments. • Keep our subscription management systems up to date with the latest products, pricing structures and configurations. • Provide support to the Sales, Order Management and Customer Operations teams.
