Role Description Trane Key Accounts is hiring for a Virtual Application Specialist I (Equipment). In this role, you will be responsible for the equipment portion of various projects including: - Validating the equipment selection, pricing, discounts, and submittal processes of the equipment portion of projects as required. - Accountable for the strategy and performance achievement of the specific budget objectives. Responsibilities include: - Optimization/validation of the equipment, including selection of size, configuration, voltage, options, etc. by reviewing plans, specifications, original estimate, and proposal. - Evaluating possible cost savings and/or cost problems that may occur on various projects. - Validating project scope by reviewing transition documents, plans, and specs; listing possible cost savings and problems; and validating quantities and configurations. - Supporting sales and developing preliminary and/or final submittals as required. - Holding job cost consensus meetings and submittal releases, making necessary changes. - Maintaining competitive advantage and staying abreast of industry trends. - Optimizing expenses by negotiating prices with vendors for materials. - Preparing the correct equipment for order entry, verifying equipment pricing, and reconciling job costs. - Providing technical support after an order is closed for equipment installation process and functions required for execution and customer satisfaction. Qualifications - Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction or Engineering Technology, or other related areas. - Minimum four (4) years of experience in the HVAC industry performing project management or estimating roles; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. - Alternatively, a minimum of six (6) years of experience in the HVAC industry performing project management or estimating roles; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. - Familiarity with applied HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls preferred. - Flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required. • Support and maintain the Customer/1 CIS application • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in COBOL, batch jobs, and related components • Analyze billing, metering, payments, collections, and customer workflows • Implement small enhancements, fixes, and logic updates • Work with business users to understand issues and translate them into technical solutions • Ensure system stability, data integrity, and accurate billing operations • Participate in on-call or after-hours support rotations (if required)

• Perform technical analysis related to power electronic and power systems control of renewable generation, battery energy storage systems, large industrial drives and FACTS. • Support customers with power systems engineering expertise; including modeling, analysis, equipment design and specification, and failure mode analysis • Create, modify and parametrize simulation models representing GE Vernova inverter-based resource (IBR) products like wind turbines, solar and battery storage. • Evaluate grid code compliance standards and their impact on renewable energy projects in bulk power systems. • Support development of transmission and distribution connected IBR and distributed energy resource (DER) products for evolving codes and standards through participation in industry standards groups and leading innovative approaches to power system analysis. • Perform power system transient studies, and detailed equipment modeling using appropriate software tools. • Effectively communicate results to both internal and external customers by preparing detailed written reports and presentations describing analyses performed, solutions developed, and customer value propositions • Enhance industry knowledge and present technical content in regional forums and conferences; serve as a thought leader in industry activities. • Actively participate in a working environment where teamwork, quality, customer service and innovation are valued. • Willingness to travel for supporting project work, meeting team members, attending industry standard working group meetings and conferences (up to 10%).

• Embed security throughout the software development lifecycle, from architecture and design reviews through deployment and monitoring • Perform application security assessments, threat modeling, and code reviews for new and existing products • Develop and maintain security tooling, automation, and guardrails to help engineers identify and remediate vulnerabilities early • Manage vulnerability detection and remediation processes across applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and third-party dependencies • Partner with engineering teams to improve secure coding practices and security awareness • Design and implement security controls for cloud-native environments running on AWS • Evaluate and improve authentication, authorization, secrets management, and data protection mechanisms across our products • Build and maintain security monitoring and detection capabilities for application and infrastructure environments • Conduct security testing, including static analysis, dynamic analysis, dependency scanning, and penetration testing coordination • Support customer security reviews and audits by providing technical expertise related to product and application security • Help define security standards and best practices for the development and deployment of AI-powered systems
