• Managing a docket of cases to resolution • Depositions: Preparing client for deposition • Attending depositions • Invoicing Depositions • Responding to client inquiries that require attorney negations and moving matters towards resolution • Responsive to incoming emails and phone calls • Providing direction and guidance to non-attorneys as needed • Team Player: Bringing positivity to the workplace and leading non-attorneys by example • Participation in team events during work and after work hours • Providing feedback to management to ensure ALG performs the best it can for our clients
Job Requirements
- Candidates MUST be California State Barred and reside in the state of California
- Comfortable with fast-paced work environments
- Doctors' deposition experience (preferred)
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Candidates must be in good standing with the California State Bar

Role What will be your main challenges? - As Legal Counsel in the Commercial/IP/Litigation team, your role entails acting as a business partner with/for the operation teams to fulfill their business and legal needs with a particular focus on intellectual property matters, and to bolster the company's asset-protection strategy, notably through IP protection, enforcement strategy, trademark portfolio management and litigation matters. - This is an exciting opportunity for a junior lawyer who thrives in a fast-paced and creative environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to work across a diverse range of products and business teams: from mobile games to social media platforms.. Key Responsibilities: - IP Protection: Handle IP protection and infringement matters, such as trademark registrations, copyright and trademark enforcement matters, pre-litigation and litigation in France and abroad, and more generally contribute in a meaningful way to the company's global IP portfolio and protection of its brands, products and content. - Commercial Support: Assist on a variety of agreements and legal matters across Voodoo's products and activities, with a particular focus on IP-related provision, licensing, protection and risk management. Exposure to broader commercial contract work is a plus.. - Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve how the legal team supports the business - Impact: You will be a key member of the legal team working hand in hand with the operational teams in a very integrated manner. • Manages full-cycle billing for 10-15 attorneys • Oversees the transition of clients to e-billing • Acts as liaison between billing attorney and clients’ staff • Communicates with direct reports, manager, and client on job or deadline issues • Ensures team provides outstanding service to client • Conducts and oversees quality assurance process to maintain efficient workflow • Trains new employees on policies and procedures
• Prepare, submit, and track initial and renewal licensing applications across multiple states and regulatory bodies, including California and Texas • Maintain up-to-date licensing records, documentation, and status tracking systems • Monitor expiration dates and proactively manage renewals to prevent lapses in licensure • Ensure all licensing files meet completeness, accuracy, and audit-readiness standards • Serve as a point of contact with licensing boards and regulatory agencies, including CA and TX licensing authorities • Respond to requests for information, deficiency notices, and follow-up inquiries • Stay informed of changes in licensing requirements and regulations, particularly within California and Texas, escalating impacts as needed • Maintain accurate data within internal systems and tracking tools • Generate reports on license status, upcoming renewals, and compliance risks • Identify discrepancies or gaps and take corrective action • Partner with Credentialing, Provider Operations, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment • Support onboarding processes requiring licensure verification or application submission • Assist with audits, internal reviews, and client reporting requirements • Provide general administrative support to the Legal/Compliance department, including triaging information requests with business stakeholders and supporting departmental initiatives, documentation, and coordination needs • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times • Support standardization of documentation and tracking processes • Leverage technology and systems to improve workflow management
• Argue contested hearings, temporary orders hearings, and family law trials • Lead mediations and adversarial settlement negotiations • Conduct depositions and prepare clients and witnesses for testimony • Develop litigation strategies and take over matters when negotiations fail • Review and revise motions, pleadings, and responses prepared by the drafting/paralegal team • Guide clients through court appearances with a trauma-informed and client-centered approach • Serve as the lead courtroom advocate while leveraging internal support teams for drafting, intake, and trial preparation • Collaborate with dedicated paralegals responsible for exhibit binders, trial notebooks, and hearing preparation
