This is a high-impact, challenging role dedicated to co-engineering and maintaining novel, high-throughput manufacturing lines that must also deliver highly custom products—a demanding technical balancing act. As an early team member, you will define and execute how we build out our factories, architect our proprietary automation, and establish systems to support aggressive growth targets. This is a hard job that requires excellence at the intersection of shop-floor operations and cutting-edge tech. Our complex robotic production lines feature a mix of traditional automation and processes that have never been created before—you will be the subject matter expert on these machines. You will be thrown into a high-growth, rapid-change environment where you will learn quickly, working alongside a team of smart, driven individuals. Your primary mission is guaranteeing the reliability and quality required for a 24/7 production schedule by defining best practices, developing robust mitigation plans, and setting up night/weekend shifts to operate near-autonomously. What You'll Do Lead vendors through the physical installation and mechanical commissioning of new equipment, ensuring all custom tooling and actuators meet design specs. Act as the detective for mechanical failures, using data to identify why parts are wearing out or breaking and implementing permanent design fixes. Build / modify maintenance playbooks to prevent unplanned downtime. Continuously redesign and harden machine components (custom tooling, brackets, linkages) to extend the time between mechanical failures. Develop and iterate on custom mechanical solutions and jigs to improve process stability and material handling as the machine scales. Own and continuously improve equipment uptime What We're Looking For Bachelor's Degree – Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering from a four-year university Minimum of four years of experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer, or similar role Minimum of six years of experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer, or similar role (Sr) Root cause expertise using systematic methodologies (5-Whys, Fishbone, 8D) to resolve complex equipment failures and prevent recurrence. Proven experience maintaining and optimizing high-speed automated systems, including PLC logic, robotics (6-axis/SCARA), and vision systems. Data-driven mindset using statistical process control and sensor data to predict failures and maximize uptime. Validation expertise in executing IQ/OQ/PQ and driving FAT/SAT to ensure equipment meets precision and safety specs. Maintenance strategy skills for developing preventative and predictive programs that don't bottleneck production. • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React for the frontend and Python for the backend. • Build and manage efficient data workflows and pipelines using Airflow hosted on Kubernetes clusters. • Architect and optimize complex SQL queries and schemas to ensure data integrity and application performance. • Develop secure APIs and integrate various third-party services to enhance platform capabilities. • Work closely with stakeholders, data engineers, and designers to translate business requirements into high-quality technical deliverables. • Lead code reviews, implement unit testing, and maintain high standards for documentation and CI/CD processes.

• Design, develop, implement, test, and debug software solutions for C5ISR systems, prototypes, and enhancements, including writing secure, efficient code (commonly in Python, C++, Java, MATLAB, C#) to support mission-critical capabilities such as tactical networks, electronic warfare models, signal processing, software-defined radios, cybersecurity tools, and intelligence data fusion. • Perform software integration, troubleshooting to integrate software with hardware platforms, third-party components, and existing Army systems. • Apply secure software engineering practices and cybersecurity compliance: follow DoD standards (e.g., RMF, secure coding, DoD 8140/8570 requirements); conduct vulnerability analysis; harden software against threats. • Develop and iterate software prototypes for C5ISR capabilities and integration with hardware platforms in lab environments. • Support lab-based test prototypes in operationally relevant scenarios. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, document work, and support program goals: Work alongside government engineers, scientists, program offices, and Soldiers; participate in code reviews, technical reporting, demonstrations, and transition activities.
