• Use data engineering best practices to produce high quality, maximally available data models which are intuitive to data analysts and trusted by stakeholders • Develop deep domain knowledge in healthcare operations, tracking regulatory developments related to analytics products you maintain • Apply quality measures and other metrics to datasets originating from internal and external clients • Build scalable ELT pipelines and business intelligence dashboards as needed, embracing automation wherever possible • Implement data quality checks which proactively identify data issues and distributional shifts to ensure accuracy of downstream analytical products
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required in healthcare, analytics, statistics, finance, business, or related field; Master’s degree (MBA, MPH) preferred.
- 2+ years of experience working in the data and analytics landscape
- 2+ years of experience using version control to manage code changes
- 2+ years of experience in managed care or other healthcare data field preferred
- 1+ years’ using cloud-based services from AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with relational databases.
- Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
- Working knowledge with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Spark, and SQL.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including documentation, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Familiarity with normalized, dimensional, star schema and snowflake schematic models
- Working experience with Databricks preferred
- Familiarity with business intelligence exploratory or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI.) preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with Excel.

- This position is remotely based in the U.S.
- The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $105,000 - $200,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors.

Role Description The Data Abstractor II (DAll) is responsible for remote abstracting and registry operations and related tasks as assigned. Additionally, the DAll is responsible for following the guidelines published in the registry/project parameters/roadmap document, Quality Management Validation Policy and Procedure, and working within the established productivity guidelines for each assigned project and case type. The DAll is accountable for their committed work hours for each project assignment and in assisting the management team with meeting the goals and deadlines for each assigned project. Qualifications - Minimum 1 year of GWTG Stroke & Comprehensive Stroke registry abstraction and database management experience, required. - Stroke registry experience within IQVIA with additional layers (ICH, DM, EMS Pre-Hospital, Endovascular Therapy), preferred. - Other AHA GWTG Registry experience (HF, CAD, Afib, Resus), preferred. - Proficient in industry-related clinical registry data abstraction specifications manuals, data abstraction software systems (IQVIA), and electronic medical record applications. - Strong attention to detail. - Ability to work independently. - Excellent communication and documentation skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google products. - Exposure to quality improvement concepts and processes, preferred. - RN, RHIA/ RHIT, CPHQ, preferred.
