Director of Supply Chain
Viant
Role Description As Supply Chain Director, you will lead and enhance the supply chain function across multiple Viant locations, covering demand and capacity planning, inventory and supply planning, and new product introductions. You will drive continuous improvement and be accountable for key metrics such as On-Time Delivery, Backorders, and Inventory Days on Hand, while balancing strategic development with hands-on execution of processes and procedures. Work Model: Remote - anywhere from the United States Travel Requirement: 50% -75% travel across Viant locations in the US; Costa Rica; Tijuana, BC; and Vega Baja, PR sites. What you will do: - Establish and optimize the use of Viant’s ERP and advanced planning systems functionality for Planning, Scheduling, Capacity Analysis, Demand Management, Order Management, Inventory Management and other Supply Chain functions. - Act as subject matter expert for ERP functionality as it relates directly or indirectly to Supply Chain and Manufacturing. - Establish optimal inventory levels necessary to achieve target service levels. - Develop standards of operation to ensure accurate inventory records. - Assist the plants with aggressive inventory plans and projects to achieve days on hand targets. - Establish and oversee the master scheduling process at the individual site locations and globally. - Ensure consistent and visible production expectations that meet the long-term supply plans and achieve our service level goal of 95% On time delivery. - Develop methodology and assist site Production Planners with systematic management of work orders and shop floor schedules. - Develop and maintain capacity models (inside ERP) for production and supply chain at each manufacturing site. - Identify capacity constraints and mitigate them to optimize throughput. - Lead continuous improvement of the SIOP process with business unit executives, site management teams and Commercial. - Collaborate with the commercial team to establish robust demand plans. - Collaborate with individual sites to establish and maintain long-term supply plans using systematic planning tools. - Develop standard work and daily management systems to link the SIOP plan to the daily site production execution and financial results. - Ensure master data integrity in key systems through process monitoring and control. - Collaborate cross-functionally with management and workforces across multiple locations. - Communicate complex issues and solutions to multiple audiences including executive management, production management and subject matter experts. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree required - Master’s Degree in Supply Chain related field or Business Administration is preferred - APICS Certification is preferred Requirements - 4+ years of experience leading change in a manufacturing environment. Open to aerospace, automotive, or food industry backgrounds, with medical device experience preferred. - 6+ years' experience in development and implementation of world class supply chain business processes & practices. - Demonstrated success in leading adoption and improvement of ERP planning tools (preferably Oracle, IQMS or KINAXIS) in a multi-site manufacturing environment. - Ability to travel up to 50%-75% to Viant sites (U.S., Costa Rica, Tijuana, and Vega Baja, PR). - Dual language English and Spanish preferred. - Strong interpersonal skills. - Must demonstrate advanced ERP and Presentation skills and work at all levels of the organization. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
