Reporting to the Applications Specialist Manager, the Applications Specialist – Processing Industries serves as an internal technical consultant, leveraging deep industry knowledge to solve customers’ most critical operational needs. You’ll collaborate with sales, product management, marketing, and R&D to ensure our solutions meet customer requirements and drive growth in this specialized market. Location: Remote (North America) What You’ll Do - Act as a recognized industry expert in Power, Steam, Food, Beverage and other critical processing industries (light-to-mid) and markets. - Maintain advanced expertise in applications and associated products for these markets. - Provide deep technical and industrial applications knowledge to shape product development and strategy. - Partner with sales and project teams to define go-to-market strategies. - Solve complex treatment and monitoring challenges, delivering optimization and cost savings. - Provide market insights to influence strategic business and marketing plans. - Contribute to product development through voice-of-customer feedback. - Develop technical collateral, application notes, and support customer visits, tradeshows, and training programs. - Lead presentations at industry seminars and conferences. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required; MS or PhD preferred (Chemistry, Microbiology, Environmental Science, or Engineering disciplines). - 8–10 years of technical applications experience in similar products/services. - Direct experience managing, optimizing, or designing industrial water treatment systems and critical utilities. - Knowledge of industrial water treatment processes and best practices. - Strong customer-facing experience in commercial, sales, or project roles. - Ability to travel up to 50% (domestic and international). - Market experience at National and Global levels. Requirements - The compensation range for this role is $140,000.00 - $175,000.00 USD per year. - This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay. - We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
