Senior Natural Gas Engineer
CHA Consulting, Inc.
• Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for gas infrastructure projects • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff • Monitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues in critical gas systems • Complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting reliable and cost-effective gas solutions • Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering required
- Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Autodesk, Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of 49 CFR 192, ASME B31.8 and other industry related codes as well as QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
- Ability to design meter and regulator stations
- Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

• Own the design and fabrication oversight of advanced reactor fuel handling system • Build strong supplier partnerships and ensure vendors deliver high-quality hardware • Develop technical specifications, statements of work and drawing packages for Refueling Equipment • Support vendor deliverables aligning with overall project budget and schedule • Manage vendor design development to meet plant requirements in compliance with codes, standards and regulations • Perform technical review of design documents and drawings • Work with vendors during manufacturing to execute deviation requests and report non-conformance • Support document preparation for installation and system descriptions
