Role Description The Epidemiologist will be responsible for conducting research and supporting various programs within the company. Key duties include: - Conduct research using online grey literature datasets such as National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), HCUP, cancer registries, government survey data, and other resources to summarize current information on prevalence. - Forecast numbers (via analyses) for a variety of diseases; suggest use of proxy data sources or develop imputation or extrapolation models when country-specific sources are not available. - Assist with other programs and units within the company, including maintaining and enhancing a sources database and contributing to new products and proprietary consulting projects globally. - Conduct literature reviews to support ad-hoc requests from clients for custom or managed service projects. - Support the Epi Production team in uploading, aligning, and publishing syndicated epidemiology reports on the Insights Platform. - Collaborate with Clarivate Disease or Therapy Experts to develop methodology strategies as needed. Qualifications - Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or a related field plus minimum 3 years of related experience. - Must have 2 years of experience in an epidemiologist, public health, or biostatistics-related role. - Must have 2 years of experience conducting systematic literature review of grey literature. - Must have 3 years of experience with MS Office including MS Word, Power Point, and Excel. - Must have 2 years of experience with epidemiology methodology, forecasting the incidence and prevalence of various disease states including survival analysis and risk-factor based modelling. - Must have 2 years of experience analyzing large datasets including NHANES and HCUP. - Must have 2 years of experience with external clients, customer interactions, and delivering presentations to external clients or customers. - Must have 2 years of experience conducting SAS analysis and utilizing SAS statistical software. - Related experience must include working in private consulting companies, clinical research organizations (CROs) or pharmaceutical support research companies; alternatively, experience in a government setting in the statistics or epidemiology analysis department is acceptable. - Must have experience utilizing advanced Excel functions. - Must have experience with real-world data (RWD) research. - Must have good written and verbal communication skills in English. - Position is fully remote.
