Vice President - Gas Power Generation

Role Description The Vice President is responsible for establishing, growing, and leading Blattner's natural gas power generation construction business. This executive role is accountable for operational strategy, organizational development, customer and partner engagement, and execution of early gas power generation projects. The position blends strategic leadership with hands-on oversight to build a scalable, repeatable gas power construction platform aligned with Blattner's EPC and self-perform capabilities. Near-term focus includes: - Utility-scale single-cycle gas turbines (OCGT) - Aeroderivative turbines - Reciprocating engine plants - Energy Park integration - Emerging fuel cell support infrastructure CCGT experience is highly valued, particularly for future expansion and partner-led execution models. Key responsibilities include: - Establishing and executing the operating strategy for Blattner's Natural Gas Power Generation business unit. - Translating Blattner's EPC, self-perform, and large-scale construction strengths into a gas power generation EPC value proposition. - Building and leading the gas power construction organization. - Overseeing delivery of utility-scale gas power plants. - Supporting large-scale integrated Energy Parks and Major Multi-tech Project strategies. - Aligning gas execution planning with campus-level sequencing and reliability requirements. - Recruiting, developing, and retaining Director-level and senior technical talent. - Establishing a strong performance culture focused on safety and accountability. - Owning full P&L performance, forecasting, and margin accountability. - Partnering with finance, legal, commercial, and risk teams. - Championing a world-class safety culture. - Ensuring quality systems address gas-specific requirements. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or related field preferred; equivalent executive-level construction leadership experience may be considered. - 15 or more years of progressive leadership experience in large-scale construction, conventional or gas power generation, heavy industrial, mission-critical, or complex energy infrastructure construction.
