Acumatica Consultant – Construction

Net at Work

• Serves as a consultant for clients’ Acumatica implementations, leading project teams in defining, planning, and implementing the Acumatica solution with a focus on construction-related functionality. • Have a strong working knowledge of ERP business software, particularly as it applies to construction, project accounting, and job costing. • Have professional exposure in business workflow, including construction project lifecycles from estimate to closeout. • Have experience with product implementations, ideally within construction, project-based, or field service environments. • Project management experience in utilizing appropriate tools and resources to document processes, timelines, and responsibilities, including construction project schedules, budgets, and change orders. • Solid communication skills with good follow-up and follow-through on assigned tasks and responsibilities to timeline. • Provide friendly phone, on-line, and on-site consulting services for our clients using Acumatica software (ERP), including construction firms, contractors, and project-based businesses. • Works with customers to achieve the best solutions to maximize product use, benefits, and functionality, particularly around: • Project accounting and job costing • Budgeting and forecasting • Subcontractor and vendor management • Procurement and materials management • Change order and variance tracking • Field-to-office data integration • Develops and executes a challenging and interesting self-education and professional development plan, including staying current on Acumatica construction and project accounting capabilities. • Perform other duties as assigned. Travel 30% required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, construction management, computer science, information technology, quality assurance, or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 plus years of experience using Acumatica ERP solutions with a background in Construction related environment.
  • 3 plus years’ experience implementing Acumatica ERP solutions, with exposure to construction or project-based clients preferred.
  • Understanding of operational processes and requirements in the ERP world, including but not limited to construction, distribution, and/or manufacturing, with a functional competency in accounting, quote to cash, procure to pay, project accounting, operations, e-commerce, or CRM functions highly desired.
  • Experience in providing support related to product demonstrations and assisting in needs analysis and solution recommendations, particularly for construction firms.
  • Experience with project scoping, planning, requirements gathering, business process mapping, and end-to-end process experience desired, ideally within construction or project-based environments.
  • Experience in utilizing defined and structured implementation processes and project management methodologies desired, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
