Senior Media Planner

Role Description As a Senior Media Planner, you'll play a key role in developing, executing, and optimizing media strategies that align with client marketing objectives. You'll leverage audience insights, media research tools, and performance data to build effective media plans and recommend the right channel mix to reach target audiences. - Develop strategic media plans based on client objectives, audience insights, and market research. - Collaborate with media team members to evaluate data and determine optimal media mixes and channel strategies. - Utilize media research and audience tools, including Resonate, MRI, Vivvix, and GWI, to inform planning recommendations. - Assist with media budget development and establish campaign objectives. - Create and present media strategies and tactical plans for client and internal approval. - Manage the execution of media plans, ensuring campaigns launch successfully and perform effectively. - Monitor campaign performance, identify optimization opportunities, and provide actionable insights and recommendations. - Oversee media reporting and communicate key learnings that help evolve future strategies. - Manage vendor relationships and participate in media vendor meetings, presentations, and industry events. - Handle media authorizations, budget tracking, invoice reconciliation, and related administrative functions. - Conduct competitive research and analyze media spending trends to support planning efforts. - Contribute to agency thought leadership, points of view (POVs), and new business initiatives. - Mentor, motivate, and delegate work to Media Planners and Coordinators, fostering professional growth and team development. - Participate in agency and departmental training programs to stay informed on industry trends and emerging opportunities. - Support hiring efforts through candidate interviews and contribute to performance evaluations of direct reports. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field preferred. - 3+ years of media planning experience within an agency environment required. - Strong understanding of media planning, buying, audience targeting, and campaign optimization. - Experience using media planning and research tools such as Resonate, MRI, Vivvix, GWI, or similar platforms. - Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. - Strong analytical and mathematical abilities with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations. - Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. - Ability to confidently present information and recommendations to clients, colleagues, and leadership teams. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and media planning, reporting, and accounting systems. - Demonstrated leadership skills with experience mentoring or guiding junior team members. - Ability to work collaboratively across teams while managing projects independently.
