Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, database administration, or data architecture
- Proven experience designing and optimizing scalable database architectures for analytical workloads, including query performance tuning (indexing, partitioning, caching)
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated data ingestion, transformation, validation, and loading pipelines
- Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar relational databases
- Proficiency in Python or R for data transformation, automation, or pipeline development
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) for cloud-hosted data solutions
- Knowledge of FedRAMP requirements and cloud security best practices
- Proficiency using Git with documented development practices
- Experience designing data models for analytics (e.g., dimensional star/snowflake and/or normalized relational models)
- Experience collaborating with government program stakeholders and security/privacy personnel, and presenting technical deliverables to diverse audiences
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Tier 4 (High-Risk) Public Trust and HSPD-12/PIV credentialing
- Ability to travel approximately 10% as needed
