Title: SAP IS-U Principal Consultant Location: United States POSITION SUMMARY As a Utilities Principal Consultant/Architect, you will evaluate and recommend IS-Utilities solutions and focus on the short and long-term strategic business benefits. As a Utilities Architect you will help define our client’s core strategic road map and provide leadership in their digital transformation journey. Being a trusted advisor, you will understand the high-level business requirements of our customers and translate them into SAP solutions. This role requires a broad understanding of the Utilities Industry, SAP’s IS-Utilities solution and broad knowledge in various key areas which can include: Customer Service/Front Office/C4C, Device Management, AMI, Billing, FI-CA, Cloud for Energy, Cloud for Utilities, etc. ROLE REQUIREMENTS You will define industry typical business processes and map customer processes to the related process levels. Furthermore, you will design the architecture based on process requirements, application, and system landscape. Finally, you will develop high-level roadmaps in conjunction with team members including the project manager. Must have: - A minimum of 10 years SAP consulting experience in the Utilities Industry with a focus on the IS-U solution. - Broad knowledge of the SAP IS-Utilities Solution and deep industry expertise including best practices and business processes. - Ability to develop, implement, demonstrate, and test solutions to meet our customer’s business requirements as needed. - Assist clients in achieving their Digital Transformation journey by leveraging S4HANA and helping define their strategic roadmaps. - Experience delivering solution reviews and making recommendations for customer’s architecture. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead customer engagements at an executive level and manage teams within a project. - Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation. - Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiences. - Bachelor’s Degree – Master’s degree preferred but not required. TSMs play a critical part in helping our customers accelerate their cloud transformation journey and enable them to achieve the business values and outcomes they want from their SAP landscape. Your will act as a trusted technical advisor to our customers and partners. This includes: - Analysing customer’s business requirements and problems. - Working across the SAP Enterprise Cloud Services and other SAP departments to provide quality services to our customers. - Resolving technical complexities and accompanying them throughout their entire cloud transformation journey. As Technical Service Manager you will be responsible for the following tasks: - Primary contact for customers for discussions about SAP technology and innovations and serve as an escalation point person for technical issues, service requests and incidents. - Understand the customer business, goals, and challenges to suggest technical solutions & services. - Offer comprehensive knowledge on SAP S/4HANA architecture, conversion, migration path, methodology and tools. - Understand the SAP high availability or disaster recovery architecture, network and virtual technologies (load-balancer, virtual machine). - Identify top issues, define & execute service plan activities and orchestrate implementation of technical action items across customer landscapes. - Design optimal SAP configuration to maximize system performance and availability. - Identify and position offerings by SAP that deliver value to the customer. Qualifications - Minimum 7+ years of SAP Technical administration and operations of SAP Solutions (preferably in the domain of SAP Basis). - Minimum 3 years of experience in customer facing role. - Hands on experience and working knowledge of Unix/Linux flavors, SAP HANA and Sybase databases. - Experience in de-escalating critical situations. - Fluency in Italian and English is mandatory. Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese or Turkish language is an advantage. - Solid know-how on SAP Technologies and Products (SAP certification highly beneficial).
