Staff Product Designer – Admin
Docker, IncDocker helps developers bring their ideas to life by conquering the complexity of app development.
• Own the end-to-end design for the Admin Platform: settings, identity and access management, billing, policy surfaces, and cross-product admin workflows • Ensure that administrators can manage their organizations and achieve their goals across every Docker product surface without hitting seams or contradictions • Identify UX debt across the admin domain and drive it into the roadmap; you're accountable for the overall quality of the experience, not just the next sprint • Partner closely with Engineering and PM to define how new products and features integrate with the admin platform in a way that feels coherent, not bolted on • Use AI tools actively throughout the design process for prototyping, synthesis, and iteration • Collaborate across stakeholders (product, engineering, sales, security, and legal) to build a shared design direction for how Docker serves its administrators • Mentor and elevate more junior designers; your work should be the reference that others study and pull from
• Lead design across your SpryCIS squads alongside a Staff Designer, helping build a shared design practice in a product area that's ready for it. • Collaborate with your product and engineering partners in a triad. Advocate for the user, build real relationships, and help the people around you make better decisions because design is in the room. • Translate complex workflows and product requirements into experiences that feel clear and obvious. These are people doing demanding, real-world jobs, and the design should make that easier. • Bring visual craft to CIS. Use typography, hierarchy, and considered use of space to make complex information easier to read and act on. • Run user research and usability testing to get close to how utility professionals actually work, then let that shape the design. • Produce wireframes, user flows, and prototypes that make your thinking visible and easy for product and engineering to build from. • Engage in design critiques, share what you’re learning, and push back when something isn’t right. You're part of a team that cares about craft and making each other better.
