Payroll Specialist
FitLab
• Process end-to-end payroll for multi-state employees across multiple business units • Ensure accuracy of wages, commissions, bonuses, deductions, and tax withholdings • Maintain and audit payroll data, including new hires, terminations, and compensation changes • Manage payroll within Paylocity and maintain system data integrity • Reconcile payroll reports and support general ledger payroll tie-outs • Coordinate payroll tax filings and ensure federal, state, and local compliance • Respond to employee and manager payroll inquiries promptly • Support payroll and benefits deduction coordination with HR • Assist with payroll audits and reporting requests • Document and improve payroll workflows and controls
Job Requirements
- 3–4 years of hands-on payroll processing experience
- Proven experience running payroll independently
- Strong working knowledge of payroll tax and wage-hour compliance
- Experience in processing multi-state payroll
- Advanced Excel and payroll reporting skills
- High accuracy, discretion, and data integrity standards
- Strong organization and deadline management skills
