Role Description We're looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to own end-to-end execution of multi-platform technical programs at Philo. This is a hands-on execution role — you'll be embedded in the product development process, working daily with Product Managers, engineering domain leads, and QA to coordinate rollouts, enforce process standards, and keep complex cross-team programs on track. - A large part of this role is about bringing structure to work that doesn't have it yet. - Philo ships features across a lot of surfaces: web, iOS, Android, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung, Vizio, and more. - Getting a feature from its first platform to the rest of the lineup requires careful dependency management, clear communication, and someone who can hold teams accountable without being a bottleneck. You'll report to the Head of Program Management and work closely with the Head of Product and Engineering and Business leadership. Responsibilities Program Execution - Own 5–8 active multi-platform rollouts at any given time (e.g., a new feature that was already proven on Roku now being rolled out to web, iOS, and Android; or billing flow changes across all distribution platforms). - Drive programs end-to-end: scoping, requirements, technical design coordination, implementation tracking, testing, launch, and post-launch retro. - Build and maintain project schedules, milestone tracking, and dependency maps across engineering domains. - Track sprint and marathon commitments across domain teams; surface blockers early and drive resolution. - Document decisions, action items, and outcomes in Notion; track action items through to completion. - Lead program-level meetings including kickoffs and cross-team syncs. - Present program progress in planning meetings and other forums as needed. Cross-Domain Coordination - Coordinate work across Philo's engineering domain teams on complex multi-domain programs. - Ensure platform-specific requirements are captured and that no surface gets left behind. - Partner with domain leads on what is being prioritized each cycle; identify resource gaps and bottlenecks early. - Coordinate with QA as part of the standard rollout process; testing coordination is part of the job. Process Standards - Review PRD quality for complex cross-platform and cross-domain projects; flag missing requirements before they surface in implementation. - Identify opportunities for better definition or optimization in the development planning process, run quarterly retros on the process, and work with leadership to implement recommended changes. - Complete process administration milestones, e.g., setting up the project database for a new quarter and communicating it out. - Support Philo's Product Managers with tactical execution, ensuring teams are following established process and that the Project Tracker is consistently accurate. - Build repeatable mechanisms for planning, dependency management, readiness checks, and executive visibility — bring structure without unnecessary process overhead. Stakeholder Partnership - Partner daily with the Head of Product and his PMs on what needs coordination; own how that coordination happens. - Coordinate with Engineering leadership on resourcing and launch timelines. - Escalate to the Head of Program Management when blockers cannot be resolved at the program level. - Bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Qualifications - 10+ years of technical program management experience, with a track record of owning complex, multi-team software programs end-to-end. - Experience at a consumer technology company shipping products across multiple platforms or surfaces (mobile, web, connected TV, or similar). - Strong grasp of software development lifecycle: you can engage meaningfully with engineers on technical approach, understand system-level tradeoffs, and facilitate design discussions. - Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple engineering domains simultaneously, managing dependencies and keeping programs moving in ambiguous environments. - Disciplined about documentation and process— you make things findable, traceable, and repeatable. - Comfortable operating as an individual contributor in a lean organization where you own execution, not just coordination. - Experience with Jira, Notion, or similar project tracking and documentation tools. - Background in streaming or subscription consumer products. Preferred - Familiarity with multi-platform distribution environments (Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon, or similar). - Experience in a startup or scale-up environment where the program management function was still being built out. What we’re NOT looking for - Someone who works best in a large team or heavy process infrastructure to be effective. - A project coordinator who tracks status without influencing outcomes. - Someone who conflates program management with Jira administration. Benefits - Full health, dental and vision coverage for you and your family. - 401(k) plan with employer contributions (we match 100% of deferrals up to 3% of pay and 50% of the next 2% of pay). - Flexible working hours. - Up to 20 weeks of fully paid parental leave. - Unlimited paid time off for vacation and sick leave. - $2,000 annual vacation bonus (we pay you to take a two week vacation). - $5,250 annually for professional development and educational assistance. - $1,250 annual home office + TV stipend during first year of employment ($250 annually thereafter). - $500/month ($6,000/year) bonus for employees who commit to working at least 3 days per week in our offices, plus generous commuter benefits ($315/month towards transit, rideshare, bike rental, or parking at our HQ office in San Francisco). - Free Gympass subscription — an all-in-one corporate benefit that gives employees the largest selection of gyms, studios, classes, training and wellness apps. - Dog-friendly office. - And much more!
