Role Description Our client is seeking an experienced Paralegal to support the legal team by improving workflow efficiency and ensuring senior lawyers can focus on reviewing and finalizing legal work rather than drafting it from scratch. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who can take ownership of drafting, research, and document preparation while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting lawyers with legal documentation, contract preparation, and research, helping streamline processes and improve delegation within the firm. Key Responsibilities: - Draft agreements and other legal documents based on instructions from senior lawyers - Complete and manage contract templates and standard legal forms - Conduct legal research and summarize findings for lawyers - Prepare legal documentation and supporting materials for lawyer review - Ensure documents are accurate, complete, and aligned with firm standards - Organize and maintain legal files and documentation - Assist with improving internal workflows and documentation processes to support efficient delegation Qualifications - Excellent written and spoken English skills - Experience working in an Australian law firm in commercial law is highly preferred - Candidates with UK law firm experience will also be considered - Alternatively, 7–10+ years of legal experience in the Philippines, preferably in a law firm or legal support environment - Strong legal drafting skills with experience preparing contracts, agreements, and legal documentation - Solid legal research capabilities with the ability to summarize findings clearly for lawyers - High level of attention to detail and document accuracy - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines - Ability to work independently and produce high-quality work with minimal supervision - Proficiency in legal and productivity software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace, legal research platforms (Austlii or Jade), document management systems (iManage or NetDocuments), practice management tools (Clio, LEAP, Smokeball, or Actionstep), and PDF tools like Adobe Acrobat - Willingness to start working under an Independent Contractor arrangement and later transition to an Employer of Record (EOR) arrangement Work Arrangement & Expectations This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
