Role Description The Cybersecurity Community of Practice (CoP) Facilitator owns the coordination, planning, and facilitation of the CoP component of the Verizon-funded NJIT-Verizon Cybersecurity Training Program. The primary goal of this role is to foster a vibrant, collaborative, and engaging learning community for 3 distinct cohorts (comprising 25–30 learners each). Unlike simultaneous CompTIA test-preparation courses, the CoP focuses on interactive, challenge-driven, and team-based activities (such as Capture the Flag competitions) to make cybersecurity concepts engaging and practical. Additionally, the Facilitator bridges classroom learning with industry reality by coordinating guest speakers and managing collegiate Teaching Assistants (TAs) who lead hands-on activities.
