What you’ll do This role is part of the Vodafone Field Engineering team, supporting the installation and maintenance of fixed and mobile networks. It involves regular climbing of towers and rooftop sites, with a strong focus on safety, quality standards, and performance targets. The role requires flexibility for travel and shift work and is physically demanding, involving lifting, climbing, and working both indoors and outdoors. - You will install, commission, and maintain the Vodafone network, products, and services to agreed standards and service levels, ensuring safe working practices are always upheld - You will communicate with internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner - You will identify opportunities for continuous improvement and challenge existing processes and procedures in order to deliver operational excellence for our customers - You will follow our Vodafone HSE Absolute Rules, without exception Who you are - You will have a formal telecoms/electronic qualification or equivalent experience gained through previous roles. - You will have the ability to manage your workload effectively and work in a focused manner under pressure to meet tight deadlines. - You will have a valid full UK /EU driving license (Category B) - You will have the ability to achieve and maintain Advanced Climber / Tower Rescue Certification and passing regular health assessments in accordance with MATS guidance. - You will be able to achieve and maintain SC clearance. Test Engineering is expanding our investment in next-generation test automation and bug-finding techniques, utilizing both randomized and deterministic testing. Note that this is not a QA/manual testing role; all Cockroach Labs engineers write tests and obsess about quality. Test Engineering is a cross-functional team that aims to enable and strengthen the engineering organization by emphasizing correctness and performance testing. The work encompasses three primary focus areas: Test Infrastructure, Exploratory Testing, and Performance and Scalability. Speaking broadly, Test Infrastructure enables automated test execution, detection of performance regressions, fuzzing, and much more. Exploratory Testing enables new bug-finding techniques such as static and dynamic analysis, metamorphic testing, failure injection, and others. Performance and Scalability enables at-scale benchmarking.
