Senior Manager, Ecommerce Platforms – Operations
SimpliSafe
• You'll be our AI-native systems leader for Ecommerce platforms, owning the technical strategy, governance, and day-to-day operations of the platform portfolio that powers experimentation, personalization, and site operations. • As the team's systems architect, you'll design resilient event and identity models, integration patterns, and production data flows that scale while enabling rapid, safe experimentation. You'll lead a small platform team, set the roadmap, and partner across Growth, Engineering, Strategic Delivery, Analytics, Acquisition, and other cross-functional stakeholders. • You’ll prototype and operationalize AI workflows and agentic automations that make the entire team faster and more efficient. You'll also own platform governance, runbooks, SLAs, and vendor relationships.
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in MarTech, analytics, or platform operations, with demonstrated ownership of enterprise marketing/ecommerce platforms; 3+ years of people leadership or equivalent technical leadership.
- Track record owning or architecting a MarTech/analytics stack (event/data layer, CDP, tag management, experimentation/personalization platforms, session replay, or similar tools).
- Strong technical skills: proficiency with event instrumentation and tagging (Google Tag Manager), CDPs (Rudderstack or similar), APIs, and data pipelines; fluent with SQL and comfortable working with engineers on data modeling.
- Experience with mature experimentation and personalization programs preferred.
- Practical experience designing and operationalizing AI workflows or automation.
- Proven experience managing vendor relationships, defining platform governance, and implementing SLAs, runbooks, and governance processes.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills — capable of translating technical tradeoffs to business partners and leading collaborative roadmaps.
- Strong judgment around privacy, data governance, and security requirements (e.g., GDPR/CCPA implications for tracking and personalization).
- Passion for experimentation, operational rigor, and building systems that make teams faster and more autonomous.
