• Manages and directs daily tasks for ongoing support of high technology systems or projects • Renders expert opinions on engineering and technical issues, providing recommendations • Provides independent reviews and assessments in areas of expertise to project teams • Interfaces with management personnel and customer representatives • Develops and enforces work standards, assigns schedules, and reviews work quality • Provides leadership for the project team and supervises senior personnel within the project organization • Deploys, configures, and maintains containerized environments using Red Hat OpenShift • Integrates CMC components within OpenShift-based infrastructure and performs system tuning • Troubleshoots deployment, configuration, and runtime issues across the stack • Collaborates with technical teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and compliance • Mentors LANL staff on OpenShift operations and develops technical documentation

• Design, build, and maintain scalable full stack applications across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers • Collaborate with Product, Design, Commercial, and Analytics teams to define and deliver impactful new features • Build internal tools and operational systems that improve efficiency and scalability across the organisation • Develop and integrate AI-powered workflows and LLM-based solutions using modern generative AI tooling • Explore, evaluate, and optimise the use of LLMs and AI systems across products and internal processes • Contribute to architectural decisions, scalability improvements, and ongoing platform evolution • Build high-quality user experiences using modern frontend technologies and design systems • Design and maintain reliable backend systems, APIs, and data structures • Work across evolving technologies and help identify the right tools and approaches for different problems • Participate in retrospectives, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and psychologically safe engineering culture • Contribute to delivering products that create meaningful real-world impact for end users

• Take full ownership in one or more of the Core Infra areas, closely collaborating with partner teams, define the roadmap for these areas, and drive execution end to end

• You'll lead and develop a team of 4 to 6 software engineers, owning hiring, performance management, growth conversations, and team culture. • You'll set team goals, track progress against roadmap commitments, and ship high-quality software on time. • You'll partner with product and design to prioritize engineering work in alignment with business objectives. • You'll provide technical guidance, architectural oversight, and mentorship to engineers across the team. • You'll lead system design efforts focused on scalable, secure, and cloud-native software. • You'll oversee incident management, on-call rotations, and root cause analysis for production issues. • You'll champion engineering practices that support continuous integration, automated testing, and effective deployment. • You'll manage resource allocation, project tracking, and status reporting for engineering initiatives. • Use AI tools thoughtfully to work smarter, move faster, and free up time for the work that matters most. • Look for ways to improve how we work, and bring fresh ideas to the team. • Apply sound judgment when working with sensitive or regulated information, in line with our data governance guidelines. • Share what's working — new tools, workflows, productivity wins — so the whole team gets stronger.
