• You'll lead and develop a team of 4 to 6 software engineers, owning hiring, performance management, growth conversations, and team culture. • You'll set team goals, track progress against roadmap commitments, and ship high-quality software on time. • You'll partner with product and design to prioritize engineering work in alignment with business objectives. • You'll provide technical guidance, architectural oversight, and mentorship to engineers across the team. • You'll lead system design efforts focused on scalable, secure, and cloud-native software. • You'll oversee incident management, on-call rotations, and root cause analysis for production issues. • You'll champion engineering practices that support continuous integration, automated testing, and effective deployment. • You'll manage resource allocation, project tracking, and status reporting for engineering initiatives. • Use AI tools thoughtfully to work smarter, move faster, and free up time for the work that matters most. • Look for ways to improve how we work, and bring fresh ideas to the team. • Apply sound judgment when working with sensitive or regulated information, in line with our data governance guidelines. • Share what's working — new tools, workflows, productivity wins — so the whole team gets stronger.

• Build prototypes and POCs that showcase Tailscale for AI agents and tooling. • Work with reference customers to integrate Tailscale, both for internal adoption and for embedding into their products. • Create reference architectures and share your work through documentation, open source, community engagement, and conference presentations. • Rapidly iterate with input from colleagues and reference customers. • Hold the production bar on prototypes that often graduate into Tailscale's product surface area. • Light travel required (~10-15%).

• Own systems end-to-end: Build and extend scalable backend systems powering core product workflows using TypeScript, Java, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, and Terraform. • Build product-facing features: Develop intuitive front-end experiences using React and TypeScript that simplify complex government workflows. • Contribute to architecture and technical direction: Help shape decisions across services, infrastructure, and data models as we scale, and grow your scope of ownership over time. • Ship product end-to-end: Work directly with teammates and customers to design and deliver impactful features. • Improve performance and reliability: Identify bottlenecks, reduce technical debt, and continuously improve system scalability and maintainability. • Raise the engineering bar: Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to a strong engineering culture built around ownership and accountability.

• We’re looking for an experienced Product Engineer to help us build and evolve how developers interact with Tinybird. • This role spans everything from the SDKs (Typescript and Python) and CLI to the features and workflows that shape the overall experience. • You’ll work across different parts of the product, helping improve how users explore, understand and build with their data. • Many of these areas closely tied to AI: Explorations, Playgrounds, Local development, Time series tools, and MCP (analytics agents). • A big part of the role is also exploring what’s next and improving user interaction. • You’ll be expected to make decisions, shape features, and push things forward. • You’ll also use AI as part of your daily workflow to explore ideas, speed up development, and iterate quickly.
